We are all Max Fans in our house. We can't wait to see him and Laura on Broadway this summer. My kids opted to go to New York instead of Disney just to see Max. Max is awesome.
I *think* I may be recognizing people from the NBC boards. If so, hi all!!
I'm a big Max fan and I also love Laura. I'm aiming for a late spring/early summer 2008 trip to NYC. We'll visit friends and do some touring, and we'll definitely get tickets to Grease on Broadway.
Dear Max friends, Ever since the casting call began, I've been a Max fan and supporter. It would be my dream to take my 10 year old daughter to see Grease on Broadway in New York. I have no money for tickets, the trip, or hotel/motel stay. If anyone can help us out, please let me know. My telephone number is 319/668-1322 and my mailing address is 205 Court Street, Williamsburg, Iowa 52361. My e-mail address is susan_lea1954@yahoo.com. I have 2 sons around Max's age. One is 22 and the other is 21. I am proud of both of them, as I am of Max and I almost wish that Max was a son of mine. My own experience in theater happened just a few years before my daughter was conceived and born. My sons were 7 and 9, at the time. I've done several community plays and have had a love for drama and musicals since high school. Go Max! Susan L. Bartelt
I actually tuned in to the show after the first few episodes out of curiosity to check out the format and the talent. I was totally hooked by Max from the first time I saw him. He brought emotion and depth to everything he did. He's exciting to watch so I can say I am really looking forward to seeing him in Grease and I am delighted Laura will be playing Sandy.
I became an instant fan of Max's from the first moment he opened his mouth and kept hoping and hoping that he would win. In fact, I made my husband stop driving home from Florida so we could hit a hotel room and watch the show so I could get the number to vote for Max!
I'm hoping that I get the chance to see him and Laura in New York, but money is tight (as I'm sure it is for everyone).

Wow! I'm just doing both. ;) I have been following Laura since we were both younger so it'll be fun to continue seeing her shows. Max is very talented and the two of them work so well together. It should be a great show!

Piglet, I love Laura, too, but I 'know' her only from the show. I think she'll do great in this role, and beyond.
So glad these forums opened. When people start seeing the show, they'll post here and I'll hardly be able to stand it!!! (Since I have a wait ahead of me.) Still, any news will be welcome.
In case you haven't seen it yet, there is an article in Max's hometown news from 05/08/07 when he dropped by his high school for a visit. There are photos and a video from the TV station. Check it out:

The last part is crumm08- then ON.html The message coder keeps turning it into a smiley... even when I try to make it a link... Sorry

grannygreaser,
Thank you so much for sharing this. I will check it out. It's great how everyone shares the information with each other. Thanks again.

Hello Kait,
Isn't it tomorrow that Laura's getting married? I wonder if Max's will be attending.
Max and Laura will really be busy after they start there rehearsal. Hey does anyone know if they've moved to New York yet? Wow... what a big change in both of there lives and Laura getting married. I ask my sister, if she thought Laura would be able to wear her wedding rings during her Grease Broadway performances. I noticed her engagement ring on tv and thought about it.
Everyone have a good weekend. Take care & God Bless. DD

Hello Susan,
Sorry but I'm unable to help you. It took just about all I can afford to make arrangements for my trip to New York. I wish you the best and maybe someone will come through for you.
As another NBC Boards regular, I thought I would stop by and add my two cents: MAX is awesome, Laura is adorable and together they will do a fantastic job in the show this summer and many, many months to come!
Susan.......... Look up a book called The Secret. It was featured extensively on Oprah. It could work for you and your children. What's more, it could get you to NYC.
Yes, her wedding was supposed to the on the 11th. I don't know if Max went or not. It was Mother's Day weekend and so soon before he'll have to move to NYC. I know Austin Miller had a performance in NY on that same day and yet early on he said he was going. Maybe a bunch of them flew in and out for the ceremony.
We might hear mention of it through the various venues. If I see something I'll post it here.
I was sort of noticing Laura's engagement ring during the NBC show, also. She didn't wear it always -- \not during the performances, I don't think, but wore it definitely when she was "Laura," for example during the critiques. I wonder about being on stage -- I'd think MOST of the audience wouldn't be able to see the ring, however... Interesting question.
In case you haven't seen it (and would like a good laugh) check out Max's Alltel commercial, which is now up on YouTube. With luck this link will work. If not, go to YouTube and search on Alltel or Max Crumm.
Generally, actors do not wear jewelry that is not part of their costuming on stage. There is a lock box for their stuff in theaters and they put their valuables there during performances.
After all, how would it look for Sandy to be wearing an engagement or wedding band during a performance? You might not see if from the balcony but from the first few rows you could!

That's exatcly what I'm talking about. It wouldn't look good at all for Sandy to be wearing a wedding ring or band. I noticed Laura wearing her ring most of the time. I can't blame her though! It was just something I was thinking about one evening. Thanks everyone for the responses. Take care & God Bless. DD
Hi, guys. I'm new here, and I saw the show this past weekend. I had such a fun time, and I even got to meet Max at the stage door afterward. He's really sweet in person, and he has such charisma on stage.
I'm going to try to see the show again next week, this time doing standing room (I spent a lot of money on the ticket the first time around). Has anyone here tried the standing room option yet? From what I understand, it was made available only recently. Any advice on what time to get to the theatre and how long I should expect to wait would be greatly appreciated.
