Being curious about these things, what is your favorite song from "Grease" - either the play or the movie? I've added a poll, but feel free to comment.
For me, I think it's "Summer Nights." I love the mood this sets for the story and the humor of the song.
I personally know all the words to all of them, but I love Hopelessly Devoted because it really shows Sandy's personality. I have to say, it was really hard to choose, though.
I've played Jan before, so of course I love Mooning. But the Alma Mater parody is also so amazing. but, Freddy My Love has to be so fun! The harmony was hard though, but i loved it!
Summer Nights for me. I agree with grannygreaser. I like the mood it sets. It shows the two different takes on the same romantic summer. It's really funny!
Summer Nights for me, again because it sets up much of the story as the two leads describe the same event from different perspectives.
I also love There Are Worse Things I Could Do, maybe because I'm a Sandy type who understood the 'bad girl' perspective for the first time after hearing that song.
A close inspection of Max in "You're the One That I Want" reveals it to be one of his top performances.... He had the whole Danny package....machismo, sexiness, boyish charm, and of course, that gorgeous voice... "I got chills..."...yes, I did.
I picked "There Are Worse Things I Could Do". Rizzo was my favorite character from the movie. I haven't seen the stage show yet, but when I do in Sept, I'll let you know if my favorite song changed!

I agree. It was an extremely tough choice though. But I guess this is my favorite. I also like Summer Nights for the same reason most people do, it shows the two different personalities. I'm so glad that they're putting this in the show!!! I LOVE how Laura sang it in YTOTIW.
