Though it also seems odd to me that opening night would be a Sunday matinee show, that is indeed correct.  Sunday, August 19 is opening night.  We'll be there as Laura's parents but don't know our exact seats yet.  SO EXCITING!

There has been so much back and forth about the date. The 16th show is at 6:30, which makes sense for the critics. My ticket happens to be for the 19th, so I'm not complaining. It will be my first Opening Night....or rather, Opening Afternoon.

Will Laura and Max be in the show during the preview period (specifically August 18th)?  Bought my tix before I found out about the official opening night.  My wife and I are coming from Wisconsin, and I want to make sure she gets to see Max and Laura.  Thanks for your help.

On Broadway, Laura and Max will perform every show unless they are sick or have prearranged a day off for some other important reason.  Laura has only missed 3 shows EVER in her lifetime for being sick and sometimes she performed as many as 12 shows per week here in Minneapolis.  The Broadway schedule is 8 shows per week so if her past health is any indication, she should hold up well and chances are great people will indeed get to see her whenever they are going.  Start your prayers now for good health both her and for Max!
