So I've been planning an NYC vacation for the last few months and I'm heartbroken. ...The trip was based on the whole idea that we were going to see "Grease", but shows for that week are completely sold out (with exception to the night we have tickets to "Color Purple").
If anyone knows anyone looking to get rid of four tickets to the matinee show on either the 25th or 26th of August, I would be so, so, so happy!
My friends and I (all four between 29 and 47 years old) watched every episode of the "You're the One That I Want" and all voted for Max and Laura... It would be such a bummer to lose the whole reason why we were going to NYC in the first place (and, of course, we've already booked our flights... bad timing on my part). SO, if anyone hears anything, I'd so appreciate it if you could drop me a line.
You might try calling Ticketmaster to see if they have any single seats. I just checked and one came up. You wouldn't be sitting together, but you would at least be able to see the show.
Have you looked on ebay. I know a few tickets for 8/25 were sold maybe yesterday. I am sure if you look through all the tickets selling you will find something. They usually start high, but the price gets lower when they don't sell at first. Go to ebay and monitor tickets for the dates you are available. You will find something. And even if you end up paying top price after all the money you spent on the trip ....an extra 1 or 2 hundred to make it a great trip is well worth it in my opinion.
There are SINGLES available for all Sat. & Sun. matinees in August, even Opening Night, Aug. 19, at Ticketmaster. I don't know if there's a way to find out if there are 4 singles available for the same show. It would be too bad if you bought 2 or 3, and then there were no more.
