I found a few videos on youtube this morning that I had never seen before, and I thought some of you might be interested in checking them out. Here's the link:
or you can just search for "laura osnes" and sort by date added. Laura's singing Hopelessly Devoted and Summer Nights, and she looks like she's having SO much fun! She's with a different Danny, though, not Max, and it looks like they're at a mall or something...maybe for a publicity event? I'm not sure. Does anyone know what these are from?
Hi! I was there when this happend, it was at the Mall Of America, she had just come back from her honeymoon the day before, and it was SO fun!!! She performed with her original cast-mates in GREASE, and then signed photo's after.....she is THE nicest girl you could ever hope to meet. And the performances were out of this world, I was so happy to be there!!!! You could tell she was so happy to be performing, and the crowd just loved it
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. A sendoff for Laura Osnes, winner of the NBC TV show Grease: Youre the One That I Want, will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. May 19 at the Mall of America.
She is the daughter of Forest City-area natives Russ Osnes and Jane (Raduechel) Clark.
Before leaving for Broadway to play Sandy in the revival of Grease, Osnes who lives in Eagan will perform one last time with her friends from the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre production of Grease, which reopens at the Pantages Theatre in July.
After the performance, she will sign autographs and greet fans in the rotunda of the Mall of America.
A limited number of wristbands entitling people to join the autograph line will be distributed in the rotunda beginning at 9 a.m. May 19. It looks like it was a great homecoming for her! Were you able to get a signed picture?
ETA: Nevermind, LauraFan1! I just found the topic you posted about the event. She showed some wedding pictures? How cute. And I'm glad you got an autographed photo!
Hi Paikea! Oh yes, I was one of the first people in line for the picture. I had read that she liked anything with peanut butter and chocolate, so I also brought her a peanut butter cup from a candy store at the mall :) She was so thankful and appreciative that I'd thought of her.....it was a truly great day; I also took pictures with my disposable camera-----I would post them, but don't know how! It was a very fun day though all around, hearing Laura sing live was unbelieveable---her voice is SOOOOOOO pretty!!!!!! She was definitely the perfect choice for Sandy, I can't wait to see her perform the role!
Aw, how nice of you! And her, haha. I'm guessing you'd have to scan your pictures to be able to post them. Don't worry, I don't know how either! If you figure it out, I'd love to see them. And the signed photo too. Was it a headshot? I've seen some beautiful pictures (by Nathan Johnson Photography ) on Laura's MySpace.
ooo sooo lucky... being from Pennsylvania, it's pretty hard to randomly get a ticket to Minnesota. lol But I'm glad you were fortunate enough to go. How did you take the pictures? With a digital camera? If so, there should be a cord to hook it up to your computer. Do you have a scanner? That's another way you could upload them.
Hi Paikea! Yes, I've seen Nathan's pictures---he's so talented! At the Mall that day, Laura was signing a photo of her in full Sandy costume, I believe she is leaning against a jukebox in a pose, just looking beautiful, kind of sassy :) It's a great shot---she's in a yellow top and poodle skirt. And to answer Laura4Broadway, I took the photos with a Kodak disposable camera, I didn't have a digital one at the time....coincidentally, I JUST got a hold of a digital one last night; I am borrowing it from my aunt to take with me to Australia next week :) I would love to share my pictures though, I know others on this site would love them!!!
