I know Bob, I was thinking the same thing. I stayed up late last night and got up early this morning thinking that some of the people who were bragging about going would have posted their thoughts by now.
I guess for now, we will just have to express a little more eagerness...
Broadwayworld.com may attract some of the naysayers, but a couple of people have posted there about last night's preview -- called a gypsy run, I guess. To paraphrase, they say the show is fun, the performers talented, but that they have a bit of work to do during the preview period.
Yeah, I saw that too. I was just wondering wether the people on this message board have any comments yet on their opinions? Or if people are going tonight or this week, that would be great too.
I am going on Saturday at 2:00 and i am SO excited
I was at the Gypsy run for Grease.....(no spoilers!)

So, regardless of my opinion of the show or the performances Grease will be successful if only for the thousands of pre-teen through elderly lady fans that will fall all over themselves to catch a glimpse of Max. I overheard ladies in their 50's gushing about him as well as little girls with their posters and pink lady jackets dying to catch a glimpse of our new Danny. He was a sweet and funny Danny, complimenting a great (with some only reachinng pretty good) all around cast. Notable performances for me were Jose Restrepo (Sonny) and Robyn Hurder (Marty).

That's our Max! I am sitting on pins and needles thinking about the fact that preview time is only about 15 minutes away as I write this. I am so looking forward to hearing all about it!

Closer to the original, but kind of like a mix between musical and movie. Some great new arrangements, and a more naturalistic take on the characters. I don't remember what article it was, but I think it was said a while ago that Kathleen wanted the show to be a more realistic depiction of being young in the fifties. I love that.
Up Close with Grease's Max and Laura: On Broadway, After Reality TV
Will there be any kind of new directorial concept? "This version is going to be about real kids in the '50s," Max said. "Kathleen's take on it is these normal, down-to-earth kids and their big imaginations."

Aw, that should make DogsandBirds happy.
And so it does! Dress rehearsal was an interesting experience. First let me tell you that you are in for a treat! This musical was fun and funny! Since this was the first time the cast did it for an audience and only the second complete run through, I am sure that anything that needs that needs adjustments will be worked out before opening night. That is what previews are for.
Where do I begin? Voices? Excellent! Costumes! Wonderful! Casting is perfect! An amazing band with a musicial director who is as much fun to watch as the band is excellent. The scenery was fabulous and it worked so amazing with the story. Lighting was superb.
What would anyone like to know? I loved every minute of the show and can't wait to go opening night, as well as with friends and family a few more times.
DogsandBirds, Thanks for the report. I along with many other people on this forum have been waiting on pins and needles for information from people who were there last night and appreciate your feedback. On Broadwayworld.com it sounded like any problems that existed were not really with the cast but rather technical and choreographic (an example given was that the last number choreographically may be too strenuous to permit good singing). I know the tenor of this forum has been very positive and all of us want only the best for the cast and everyone involved in the production but for those of us not able to attend the show until later this year, we're curious. Without being inflammatory, what, in your opinion, needs to be tweaked and what already provide breathless moments in the show ? Details, please! Of course I will understand if you feel uncomfortable (as family of a member of the cast) expressing any negative opinions.
DogsandBirds, you're back! I'm curious about the choreography as well. Kathleen and her team have to reinvent some very iconic numbers. Do you have any commentary about the staging or choreography? Also, did the costumes and scenery reflect the renderings on the website?
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Was dress rehearsal treated like a regular show? I'm just wondering if there were stops in the action or anything like that. Thanks so much for filling us in!
