Hi all! I was SO blessed to be able to see this show on Friday----I am still flying high. First off, it is INCREDIBLE; I have to say that if you have any kind of inkling to see it, try your hardest to go, you will not regret it!!!!! I could go on forever in trying to describe it: wonderful, amazing, stunning, etc....but I will just sum it up by saying I am already making plans to go back, hopefully in the Spring. Max and Laura were absolutely AMAZING; their voices, acting and dancing top notch. My mom and sister enjoyed it as well, we were lucky enough to see Max and Laura after the show, they were SO gracious and kind to everyone, it was a joy to meet them!!!! Funny story: my sister and I went back to the theater yesterday and were out looking at the billboards and signs in front. Well, who should come out the stage door but Max himself! This was during a matinee show, and he just came out the door, ran over to the billboard of himself and looked at it for a second. We told him how great he was on Friday night, and he was so nice and friendly, saying "Thank you, thanks for coming" It was funny, he was there for a split second, because he said he had never seen his billboard, and wanted to get a look at it So that was an unexpected surprise, most definitely! I cannot recommend this show enough, it was SUCH a wonderful time, and it seemed to pass by so fast-----I really enjoyed EVERY second of it. I think Jenny Powers as Rizzo was FANTASTIC, actually everyone played their parts to perfection; we REALLY loved the Teen Angel, he was hilarious!!!! I have no clue what some of the critics were thinking: it was, plain and simply, a wonderful way to spend a Friday night; just a marvelous, fun time----the music was outstanding as well, and I am counting down until that Soundtrack becomes available!!! Everyone out there should really come see the show, I can't say that enough. Thank you, hope you all are having a nice Sunday!! Dana in Minnesota
Thanks Dana for sharing your thoughts. I read that you were planning on another trip again in the spring. You should try to go with us forum members. We are trying to put together a trip in April. Just trying to get as many as possible. It is under the thread called "ANYONE INTERESTED".
Hi---Keven Quillon and Amber Stone were the understudies, and you would have thought they were just doing the regular parts, they just were great. Oh, I already want to see it again, I wish I lived closer to New York!! It was just absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!!! Dana
Dana, so glad you enjoyed the show so much! I'm going again with a group of 40 people at the end of September. Want to hide in my suitcase and go along?
Hello Jane!!! Oh, what I wouldn't give to hide in your suitcase As I said before, I ADORED this show, and am already planning to go see it again.....it was SO fun!!!!!!!! As we walked into the theater, we were talking about how proud you must be of Laura----to be only 21 and on Broadway, unbelievable!!!! She has one of the prettiest voices I've ever heard, and I just can't wait for the Soundtrack to come out. She is a true star and watching her sign autographs and greet people was awesome: she handled herself with such grace and maturity; she is a wonderful role model. Suffice it to say that my sister and I are doing everything in our power to make it back to NY before she leaves the show. Wow, you sound like you have a great group going----I am so jealous!!!!!! Have lots of fun and say hello to Laura from her #1 Minnesota Fans!!! It's nice to hear from you, Jane Dana
