My aunt, who writes for Billboard, wanted me to post this excerpt of her email.....she took the pic of M&L as bday gift to me, I asked her to go to the flea market.....awwHow fun!!!
K, I must admit, I did not plan on going to the Broadway Flea Market to
get a photo of Max & Laura for you until I realized that your birthday card
was still sitting on my desk unmailed. So to relieve my guilt for being late
for your b'day, I went. But it was so crowded I couldn't get a shot of them,
and they were among a lot of others sitting along a table just signing
autographs. So I pulled out my press credentials, found a press contact
person & told her I was shooting for Billboard (shooting "for K"
wouldn't have worked!). Although other press were all waiting in a back
room, she led me up to them (Billboard does have clout:)). Although I told
the press contact that I couldn't guarantee any placement (Billboard really
doesn't cover Broadway or cast albums), I was able to get it placed in
today's issue (the Oct. 6 issue) on our Backbeat page - right below Kiss'
Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley and next to Natasha Bedingfield -- if not for
you, they wouldn't be there!
