The Broadway cast of Grease will perform nationally on ABC'S "Good Morning America" Monday, October 29, 2007 between the 8-9AM hour. Max and Laura will lead the cast in a performance of "You're the One That I Want."
OH YAY!!!! I was waiting for something like this to come up. Thank you very much for the heads up, Mrs N----can't wait for Monday (and when do you ever really say THAT?? Ha ha)
Thanks for supplying the info. I eventually would have found it on youtube; however, my kids and I would love to rewatch it over and over. I still have the finale of "You're the One That I Want" DVR'd for us to watch. I turned my kids into young greasers!!
Many thanks to my well-wishers. Folks here and on the YTOTIW board have certainly added a spark to 2007. Everyone, enjoy watching Grease on GMA tomorrow.
so It was ok?!?!?!!?!??! did they wear the costumes from the show?, does anyone have any pics, or video, if u do please post it in youtube!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gosh, isn't it still a big dream to you family members of the cast to see our kids on national TV? That was fun and they sure did look good for so early in the morning on their only day off! Too bad for them it couldn't have been another morning so they didn't have to get up so early on their one day off, but I enjoyed seeing my daughter and they all looked spunky and like they had fun. Was it just me or was that yet another wig for Laura? It looked different to me and looked more red too! Happy birthday today, Mrs. N! Hope you have a great day.
They did a great job. Made their early morning 'task' look like a lot of fun. I was glad to see Max and Laura supported by the cast, this time. Laura looked different to me, Jane, because of the wig. In fact, I viewed it first on our big screen TV and couldn't tell it was Laura!
I was also glad we saw several snippets of them. Would've loved to see them perform "We go together" all the way through.
Ok, I'm uploading it to YouTube now...big file, so it may take a while to process and I can't promise the best quality. I'll update when it's done and post the link.
Ok so the journey from DVR to computer to YouTube required multiple changes in digital format, meaning the picture quality is not the greatest. But here you go. Anyone with better editing skills, feel free to post your better version :)
So much interest in Broadway. I hope Max and Laura realize that doing off-Broadway and other productions aren't steps down. It would severely limit their careers if, say, they hold out for Broadway musicals instead of a comedy/drama at Second Stage or Playwrights Horizons.
Poor Laura... that new wig is just horrible and detracts form what a pretty girl she is. I hope she doesn't use this one for the show--I wasn't crazy about the first one, but this one is a lot worse. Max, on the other hand, just gets better looking. Wish they spent enough time that we could see more of the rest of the cast. Still, it was good to see, and thanks for posting the clip.
I watched it on youtube it was a little blury but still neat. I can't believe I missed it by 8 days. I have tickets for GMA when I am there next week. It would have been cool to see it. Oh, well I will just have to wait for the show.
Thanks for posting the GMA show!! I set it, but my DVR didn't record it. My son may have cancelled the recording, so that he could watch his morning show. So much for teaching the kids how to work the DVR!!
Yeah thanks, I saw that link, but I was looking for the performance portion of You're the One That I Want only. I really didn't want all the interviews in it.
omg thank you so much for posting! that video was awesome! I love the new wig...it took a second to get used to though - cant wait till march - ive got 8th row tickets!
