Max/Laura vacation

My friend was browsing tickets on Ticketmaster and discovered a notice for Mid-February dates that said Laura will not be performing. That is very courteous of Laura to make the prior announcement! Does anyone know when Max plans to take vacation?

Most actors who people are "paying to see," so-to-speak must announce their vacations long beforehand, so that way it can be announced to the public.

Does anyone know if Laura and Max will be there in Mid February, 2008?
I have tickets for Feb. 12 and Feb. 13th (which is Mid Feb). Now I am concerned that they will not be there. These seats are front row 101A in front of Orchestra! blankstare.gifblankstare.gif :worry.gif

I have never been to NY and this was be my 59th Birthday Gift to me from, a dream come true to see Laura (the most) and Max on Broadway since I watched the GYTOTIW on TV from beginning to end and was so happy they won. I would not be coming to New York and Broadway, it it were not for them.

Thanks in advance for any input on this for me! I am very concerned.

I checked for my own plans. Laura will be on vacation beginning Tuesday, Feb. 12, through Sunday, Feb. 17, a full week of performances. The notice also says that Max will be playing all performances.

It would be interesting to see the show with a completely different dynamic, so if I'm nearby and the weather is alright, I might give it a shot.

Wow, I'm personally relieved to see this posted here. I was aware Laura planned to take off and was afraid maybe nothing would be posted officially ahead of time and it's certainly not my place to be the one to post it. I think people who are flying in deserve to know so they can consider changing their plans if they're able to and choose to. Thank you to the original person who posted it as this board consists of some of the biggest fans--many of them from areas all over the country. Although I agree it could be really fun to see the understudy too, I know I would be hugely disappointed to miss the stars I came to see if I'd flown in primarily for that purpose. If I lived in the city, I'd for sure go see the understudy as I think it would really be fun to see. The theatre had asked Max and Laura if they would please not take any vacation time off before Christmas and they have honored that. It's a tough thing but a vacation will be wonderful for each of them as they're able to plan one.

Laura will be on vacation. The night Max was out with his ankle, people could get a refund or exchange. This situation should work the same, if that's what you want to do. Ticketmaster's phone number is on their site.... www.ticketmaster.com ....click on Help in the upper right corner....then click on Order by Phone and call the main number. Good luck.

Thanks so much for everyone's comments about Laura starting vacation the exact two dates in a row, I have tickets for 12/13 and 12/14. I am very disappointed. Thank goodness I did not make my hotel or plan reservations yet. Maybe this happened for a reason.

I will check and see if they will refund the tickets, possibly or exchange for another time.
However, I have really good seats 101A on both dates, one is at night and one is a matinee.

Yes, if I lived closer to New York or in New York, it might be different, but coming from the Chicago Area, the plane fair and hotel if I am not going to see both Laura and Max. Don't get me wrong, I am glad Max would be there, but I really wanted to see Laura and Max together and then if not at one of the performances, at least, hope to see them at the Stage Door and get their autograph. And I know I could probably catch some other Broadway Shows, but it is Laura and Max in Grease on Broadway that was going to bring me to New York.

Thanks again for your comments. I will let you know what happens with my two tickets.

Thanks for posting this. I am in the process of planning a trip to NY just to see Max and Laura in Grease and would be disappointed if they were not there at the time that I have chosen. Those are some of the questios that I have been trying to get answers to.

Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations on a good hotel at a decent price? It would be my daughter and I flying there.
