I'm sitting here watching The Bitter Suite which was one of the musical episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess. Even though I'd seen the episode before but I noticed how familiar's Gabrielle's singing voice was. I don't know why I'd never noticed it before. I knew it wasn't Renee O'Conner (the actress who played Gabrielle) so I had to go on a little search to find out. Lo and behold the singing voice for Gabrielle was provided by Susan Wood. She played Sandy in the last revival of Grease on Broadway. Funny how things always seem to lead right back to Grease!

A bit of trivia on Susan is that she's married to actor Adrian Zmed who was on a show I loved when I was little called Dance Fever. But you guys may know him better as Johnny Nogerelli in Grease 2. Adrian not only dropped into the original run of Grease in the role of Danny but also dropped into the revival in the same role. There we go...back at Grease again. Maybe we could get Adrian to drop into the current revival of Grease as maybe Teen Angel or Vince Fontane. How many actors can say they were not only in the original Broadway run of a show but also in two revivals? Unlikely...but definitely cool.
