College and high school spring break season is beginning and I wonder if anyone knows how the ticket sales are for Grease during the next month or so? I would think many groups would see Grease as it's a show that certainly appeals to people in that age group. I know Laura's high school is taking a group out over spring break and will see the show and I would guess there would be lots of others doing the same--making those ticket sales soar. Anyone else know groups who are going or can any of you "in the know" verify if sales are good?
Sales certainly aren't as brisk as they were towards the start of the run, but a cursory look on Ticketmaster for a Friday night at the end of the month revealed Best Available seats in Row J of the mezzanine.
I know a lot of people who are going to New York to see Grease next week for spring break just like me and most of them bought their tickets months ago when they booked their hotels in fear of the shows selling out or not being able to get good seats
Interesting thing about "Spring Break." Schools around the country have this vacation at varying times. Here in and around NYC, many schools are having that break during teh week of April 23 and not in March. Even the week in March is sort of open. So far, the show has done well. I am sure it will continue to do some. I want to go see it again!
Hey everyone!! I haven't posted in a while but just wanted to share because I'm very excited!! I am getting my wish and taking my daughter for our special trip to NYC to see Little Mermaid over her spring break!! Am also trying to swing Wicked tickets as well. And of course any opportunity to see Grease again if possible!! Any thoughts from those who have seen Mermaid? Also, I was wondering if Wicked is appropriate for 8 year olds?? It says that it is but you never know. I read the book but this will be my first time seeing it. Maybe I should just stick with Mermaid. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I have not posted in ages either. I just took my kids to see Wicked on tour in Cincinnati in February. My 9 year old LOVED it. I also have friend whose daughter is 8, and she loved it too. As a matter of fact, as much as we all enjoyed the show, we are growing very weary of listening to the CD over and over and over again in the car. My son keeps wanting me to put Grease back in, but his little sister can't get enough Wicked. We are coming back to NYC to see Grease at the end of this month. I wish we could also take in Wicked on Broadway, but I don't think we will be able to afford to this year.
I took my girls to see Wicked in LA, and my younger one was only 7. Though she was scared at some parts, she LOVED the show! She and her sister know every word to every song, and play Glinda and Alphaba with their American Girls dolls. :) We're returning to NY this fall and already have tickets to see it on Broadway. They're also dying to see Grease, but I'm still debating if I will take them. I truly feel that there're more inappropriate things for them to see/hear in Grease than there are in Wicked.
Rae66, Thanks so much for that, it was very helpful!! I got a laugh about the AG dolls since that is all my dtr. does!! Would be nice for our dolls to have new scenarios since I think High School Musical is kind of played out for them!!! I can't wait and if anyone has seen Mermaid, I would LOVE to hear a review and your opinion. Thanks again!

I saw "The Little Mermaid" in January and really enjoyed it. I thought the staging was imaginative and very clever how the "fish" actors moved on stage. The sets were beautiful and multifunctional. The actors were terrific and Ursula (the sea witch) was terrific. If you loved the movie, you will probably love the muscial. "Kiss the Girl" is one of the best numbers and is one of my favorites from the movie. It's a wonderful show for children and adults.
