I'm not surprised they pulled it. I would imagine they got their hand slapped for being the first to report it. Though I think the producers should just chill though. It's out there now. Let it be. Make your official announcement.

You don't even know. I'd be talking to Andy on the phone and she'd say something like "Wouldn't it be cool if Derek replaced Max?" and I'd only be able to say "Uh, sure."

My comment wasn't directed at you. I wrote it because Gramps was talking about how Allie could be Laura's replacement when it had already been stated that it was Ashley.

Watch for more flak from the Broadway dwellers who were so negative about the first choice being the TV winners. It shouldn't hurt attendance any; in fact it might even help it. One of Ashley's high school teachers called into a local radio station and said that Ashley was such an inspiration to her daughter and she is taking her daughter to NY for some competition the first week Ashley and Derek are performing so she got her tickets for the 25th. of July.

I think it is so interesting that Derek wants to do a vidoe diary, great idea. They sould make a reality show about it. LOL The Massillon Independent wants to do the same for Ashley only as a recurring article with pictures and so forth. It will depend on what Grease has to say about it, the creative team or press agents. Personally I think it is a great idea. Should generate a lot of interest. So many people including many on these boards have no idea what the process entails.

I hope that this works out! I'd love to see it! I think that it would really make everyone who attends the show appreciate the cast's hard work and dedication.

I see the resemblance, my son is a scrawny little thing, though. The thickest thing on him are his eyelashes.

I was hoping he'd grow a little in the navy, but they keep him running (he's a cook on an aircraft carrier)

I sure hope that Sandy has blonde hair on stage when Ashley and Derek come on board. I've had friends tell me how hard it was for them to see "Sandy" with brown hair. The movie was such a huge hit with Olivia Newton John. The producers could really hype up the changes and bring in more sales to the box office. I guess we'll all see soon enough.

In the original Broadway cast Sandy was a brunette. Heck, I've even seen an African-American Sandy.
