Let me say that Amelia is probably Ashley's smallest fan at four years old. I don't have pictures from the show as I am on a business trip to Chicago but will forward as soon as I can. As a family of 3 we saw the show last Saturday, matinee.
We had a great time seeing Ash on stage and visiting with her after. She did a wonderful job. She is really honing her acting skills. We are proud of her. "Goodbye to Sandra Dee" was AJ and my favorite part. It was very believable/convincing and her voice was clear and perfect. Amelia, even as tired as she was, sat rapt the entire show. She had to go to the bathroom so bad but wouldn't go until intermission. We made it to the lav...barely! AJ was very distressed that Ashley's ear bled, and she vomited in the show (Marty's Bedroom scene). She was also concerned about the smoking. She was pretty mad at Danny for "not being very nice" to her. She got over it by the time she saw Derek backstage though.
We got to go on stage and take photos. Amelia wore a poodle skirt. Then we got to see her big dressing room. AJ ate most of Ashley's M&M's.
We had a wonderful Italian meal at the restaurant next door to the theater. John's friend from work and his family joined us. Little Chloe (I think she's 7) got a kick out of meeting Ashley. She's a little dancer too.
Amelia woke up singing "Summer Nights" on Sunday (with the wrong words, of course.) It was very cute. She cried when I told her it was time to leave. She wanted to swim with Ash! I think she wanted to show her how she can do it herself now. Ashley is one talented little girl! I'm so glad we got to see her come "full circle" with Grease.
Yes that is Miss Amelia and her mother was in a show in Canton with Ashley. It was "Children of Eden" and Georgeann said "What are you doing here, you need to be in NY." Georgeann persuaded Ashley to go to NY to audition for "Barbie Live In Fairytopia" and even got Ashley a place to stay at a cousin of hers in NY, the Village. Ashley played the part of "Elina" as understudy for 6 months. Then the Grease TV show, Hairspray and now "Grease on Broadway".
Ashley meeting Georgeann was a turning point in her life, no question. Everyone who knows Georgeann is blessed with a great friend. She just believes, it is amazing.

What a wonderful review! It was the best I have read yet! Amelia is a cutie!
So glad she got to see Ashley on stage in New York. She won't understand the magnitude of this event until she is older I'm sure. But, what a great moment for Ashley too!
I especially liked how she was mad at Derek, but forgot about it once she was backstage! So cute.

Thank you so much for sharing your email with us. Amelia sounds adorable.
Awww! What a sweet story!!!! I love it!!!! I met Amelia when I went to the "Grease" finale party that was held in support of Ashley. She's adorable!!! Thanks for sharing the story!
Amelia's mom was so nice too! I am so glad that Ashley has such special people in her life, and I am so glad that they were able to go and see her perform as "Sandy!"
What a cute little girl. How nice for Ashley to have someone like that in her life. I am sure we all can think of times in our lives where it would have been nice to have someone other than our parents or siblings to talk to.
