That would be awesome! You haven't missed too much, just a few debates, Ashley hit Derek in the nose by accident and the Soul Patrol went to see Grease.
Aside from the first day where I was violently ill with food poisoning, I would definitely do it again.
But I don't think I'd do a cruise...I think I'd spend some time in Berlin and Copenhagen. And I'd spend more time in Poland to visit Aushwitz and Buchenwald.
Berlin is Times Square, Copenhagen is the West Village.

Yes I would have to agree Aushwitz and Buchenwald are places that all people should visit. Hard to believe all the tragic stories from those two places.

Also the US Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC.

Also, the Museum of Jewish Heritage, A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, in Battery Park City, near the Ferry to the Statue of Liberty.
I have two neighbors who are holocaust survivors, both from the Kindertransport (Spielberg did a documentary on this) and I have done school projects with my students, reading The Dairy of Anne Frank, from the point of view of being 14 years old and being trapped in an attic. My neighbor gave me some of her mother's things, a diary of her mother's time at Buchenwald, as well as things like the yellow star Jews were forced to wear, some of the "Jewish" money and such. It was a very powerful project both from the point of view of the students who found empathy towards people who are long gone, as well as for me in watching their reactions and reading what they wrote about the topic. Very moving.

I wish I would have known that before my last visit to New York. I stayed at the Embassy Suites in the Finanacial District. Could have made a visit to the Living Memorial in Battery Park City. Will have to make a point of visiting there next time. I love staying in that part of the City. Also love the Embassy Suites there.
It's only fitting, I guess, that I'm seeing a Fringe show tomorrow called "Stars in a Dark Sky" about the Holocaust and Nazi resistance and whatnot. I think I read hear that Laura Osnes' husband Nathan is in it.
