MDA and Grease
Permalink Closed

The MDA site is having an auction for fund raising. Four tickets to see Grease and dinner with Ace.

Wonder if Grease is doing a song or two on the telethon? They did last year.

Here is the link for the auction:

That's cool!  Ace is VERY active with MDA, their national headquarters is here in Tucson and Ace was here several months ago. I got to hear him interviewed on my radio station smile

This auction should be a great one to watch! I will be at the MDA telethon to see Ace since I live in Vegas! I'm excited. I've been an Ace fan from the beginning of Idol and I am Site Administrator at one of his fansites, Youngville.com

Nice to meet you all smile

Is he performing in Vegas? He is opening in Grease on the 7th of September. I was wondering if he was going to perform with the cast.

Found the answer to my question - Ace is co-hosting the telethon.

Wonderful thing to do!

Yes, he will be co-hosting an hour of the telethon as well as performing. Ace is an ambassador for MDA and he was also here last year. It should be fun!

The bidding hasn't changed for more than 24 hours. I guess a lot of people are waiting until the last few days to start the bidding frenzy.

If I were to "win" I'd just want to trade Ace in for Derek biggrin

$ 1,750 seems very high but for 4 people, it is not that far-fetched.

$ 1,750/4 = $ 437 per person.

$ 437 - 301(if they're premium Grease ticket) = $ 136 per dinner.

Nevertheless, it is good to see a good amount of money going to support a great charity.

I hope it goes for a lot more. It goes to a great cause. Unfortunately, too expensive for me. I wish the contenders lots of luck!

Thank you D&B. He is a cutie! But we have to remember, he's still a puppy! I just caught him eating my daughter's toy!

For all those who wanted more pictures of my puppy....

Thank you all for your sweet words.

I'm sorry for posting these pictures under such an important topic. I didn't want to create my own topic just for my pictures. This is important charity, I wish the bidders lots of luck!

I have two poodles, a toy and a mini named Chloe Mowie and Feebee Dee and two ****atiels, Lexus the Luxury Bird and Cindi the Wonder Bird.

I would have more animals but my kids think I am going nuts, which I probably am.

Awww!  smile.gif  I love what the board did to the name of the type of bird that you have.  I have a 13 1/2 year-old parakeet!  smile.gif

LOL! I didn't see that! I love keets. Had the sweetest one a while ago. She was flying around my school and I caught her with a butterfly net. She was very bonded to me. Green, so I named her Sweet Pea and she was sweet!

The winner is a very sweet fan of Ace's whose parents are giving her this once in a lifetime treat for her 18th birthday, graduation, Christmas, and most likely her wedding gift, LOL.

The money goes to a wonderful cause and Ace will go all out for his theatre and dinner guests. Wish it was me, but...

That is so awesome for her!

And DogsandBirds, it is funny how it bleeped out your bird's name. On the AI boards they bleep out Joe ****er's name as well. Well it's probably bleeped here too. You know. The guy who sings "You are So Beautiful.........to me.........."

Yep, it's bleeped!

And I meant to add to the chorus of how adorable that puppy is......
