No fair! Tell us about it!!!!

I've been waiting to hear back from someone who has seen Ace at the show. He has to go to every performance as part of his training. And he LOVES Taylor - always has. I'd like to know if they've been hanging together these last few weeks.

Tomorrow is the BIG night for you guys. I hope you have a blast and give Taylor a super send-off!! It should be great.

Hi all...I figured I'd give you a little "tease" before I came and told the story. I was at the show and not long before it started I spotted someone come out of the door that leads into the seating area from backstage. If ya'll hadn't posted those pix of him with the new haircut I wouldn't have recognized him since before his name was attached to Grease I had no idea who he was.

Anyway I saw him walking down the aisle with someone who's face I couldn't see and they turned into the aisle in front of me. Turns out the person he was with was someone I knew so I got to chat a little bit. I told him to break a leg next week and that I'd be back to see him in the show.

ETA....him and Taylor left in the same car.

Sorry, my biggest problem was trying to not run on stage...especially during the track suit scene

Linny -

Lots of SP going to see Grease tonight and Sunday. I told them to look for Ace, that he sat in front of Eris last night, and I would imagine they'll be sightings and plenty of detailed recaps. I'll bring anything over that I think you'd like to read.

Linny -

A little tidbit about Ace at last night's show - from Skeeter at the BB.

"ACE YOUNG was at the performance, at the Stage Door and also backstage. YES..........he was giving out hugs, taking pictures with the fans and generally having a good ol' time like he always does. He left with Taylor and a group."

(Skeeter just posted a few little blurbs, and will have pics and full recaps after tonight's show.)

As I mentioned in the chatbox last night I'll be at Friday night's show. I didn't think I'd be going back quite this soon but there are worse things I could be doing.

The "reveal" of Greased Lightening has always been one of my favorite moments in the show. When Kenicke is standing on the car posing as the car turns so the audience can see what it has become always gives me chills. Lately that moment hasn't been getting the applause that it used to or that I think it deserves - at least when I've been there. So I always start clapping loudly and other people join in. Something tells me that starting on Thursday that moment will be getting more applause that it ever has before.

That is the moment I will fall dead and miss the rest of the show, Eris. If any of you saw Ace on the Idol Tour, you have a sneak preview of what he is going to do during that number. He ran up and down the ramps and jumped off the platform every night. When I saw the GL video on youtube, I had chills. I'm only sorry I won't be there for opening night, as there was a big mixup with Ace's opening date (!!), but I will be there the next week when he has it down solid.

Please squeeee a little extra for me on Friday, okay???

Linny, don't miss the rest of the show! If you have to pass out at least wake up when Derek comes out in his track suit.

Eris, is that AFTER Greased Lightning, LOL.

Maybe I need you there with me to revive me at the right times! I am SOOOO looking forward to this!

THANK YOU Grease fans for being supportive of Ace. He won't disappoint, but he also needs to know that he has a new audience. He's worked very hard on his career and this is the biggest thing yet.

Yes, Greased Lightnin' is in Act I after Freddy, My Love.  The track suit scene is in Act II right before Beauty School Dropout.

Hey, I'll use any excuse to come see the show biggrin

Hey, SP got a whole bunch of people together last month! Should we plan something so we can get the Dashboards, Ace fans and SP together! Maybe a group discount will apply!

Linny -

Recaps, etc. are beginning to come in. I'm going to post a short bit over on Taylor's forum because it's mostly about him, but Ace is mentioned again. So you can come over there and read it. I think that's what I'll do with the rest of them also. Unless I see something so totally awesome about Ace in particular, or the whole show, in general - then I'll post here. But since most of my news will be Taylor centered, I don't want to take up space on Rydell.

I wish that Ace's opening night were not on 9/11. Would that have been so hard to arrange? Wednesday would be better, and Friday would be perfect.

Ray - I totally agree with you. That's one of the reasons I am NOT going. And I love Ace like nobody's business and want to be there for his first night. But my friends can't do it, my son lives and works in the City and is not wanting to be hanging out that night, and it just feels ICKY. But maybe it's something that will give some people a good memory on a terrible day...just not me.

If any of you are interested, there are some great pictures of Taylor and Ace and the rest of the cast from his going-away party at Broadway on Bourbon St. last night. There are individual and group pictures. Some real beauties - Taylor and Ace, and Taylor and the "Pink Ladies" - individually and a group pic. There's a couple of really nice ones of the entire cast as well. There's also a couple of Constantine and Tay and Con and Ace, if anybody's interested. There's one of Ace and Taylor that's fabulous (IMO) and when the girls had their pics taken with TH (individually) they came out great. (Kirsten, Lindsay, and Robyn look especially cute in theirs.)

Click on the thumbnail pics and you can see the larger images. Hope this works. If not, just type it in your browser. (From Getty Imgages)

I don't really have much of an issue with Ace starting on Thursday. For starters, it's the 7 year "anniversary" not the 1 or 2.

And by going on Ace is showing that we all can stand tall and be strong. We face adversity with strength and will not be beaten.

That's a very good way to look at it Eris. I hope you all will see what a trooper Ace really is. He never missed a show on the Idol tour, even when he had a case of the flu.

Loving the photos. Just adorable. I'm so happy that Taylor was there to kind of cushion Ace's entrance. It's really great to see them hanging together. (Wish I was at that party... )

A little different to be in a show where you are one of the top ten and people expect to see you but you have no one to cover your track then when you are in a show and if you are sick or injured, someone is your cover, so the show goes on as a complete show.

No one who has the flu should show up for a show because you could spread your infection to the rest of the cast!

I am looking forward to seeing Ace in the show, which I am sure I will do one day soon.
