Can anyone else anwer this? Bumble Bee gave a shout out to Ashley when she gave her Grease review a while back so she obviously reads the message board, but now I'm wondering if she posts here as Suddenly Sandy. "Suddenly Sandy" posted e-mails that Dana had sent to Ashley which leads me to believe that she is actually Sandy. I can't believe that Ashley is so insecure that she either posted, or had someone else post Dana's address on-line, just because she didn't give her a rave review.

And what a thrill it was too! She is exactly what you'd expect, soooo nice, humble and gracious----and WHAT a voice, wow!!!! I was so lucky to see her, and get a beautiful autographed photo. This makes me even more excited to see her in September on Broadway :) I know she is going to blow everyone's minds and I already feel so proud for my fellow Minnesotan :) She is so gorgeous, and just hearing her voice in person almost had me in tears, ha ha. I'll say it again: I just CANNOT wait for September!!!!!!!

Sounds like Laurafan1 is pretty excited here, doesn't that kind of sound like her Emails to Ashley?

There is really only three options regarding the e-mail

1. The e-mail is legit, Suddenly Sandy is Ashley and she posted it

2. The e-mail is legit, Ashley forwarded it to Suddenly Sandy in order for her to post it.

3. Suddenly Sandy is a liar and made up the e-mail. (I'm not sure about one and two-but I don't think you are a liar Suddenly Sandy-but I do think you could be Ashley)

I was looking for something else and look what ThatGirl had to say about Ashley getting the part of Amber in Hairspray. I guess Ashley is Ok as long as she is not playing Sandy, am I right That Girl?

Congrats Ashley! The Hairspray movie soundtrack is going to be released tomorrow and Amber sings one song-but she may sing more in the play. I think that Ashley will do a great job with it-it's the perfect song to showcase her voice.

First of all That Girl why don't you just ask Laurafan1 or Dana if she wrote to Ashley's fan site before you get all wild and crazy with your extensive imagination. You are not very computer literate are you, you sure can have more than one email address. And if you give me a minute I can go back in this very web site and find where Dana tells how she got an autographed picture of Ashley. Is that proof enough?

Do you think I don't believe that she did? I'm trying to understand your point. I'm assuming she did because I think it is entirely possible for her to be a fan of both Laura's and Ashley's and I don't think that Dana would put her home address on the MB for everyone to see. If Dana didn't e-mail Ashley then Suddenly Sandy made up the whole e-mail exchange and she is just causing trouble for Ashely. If the e-mail exchange is legit then Suddenly Sandy is Ashley and she posted the e-mail OR she forwarded it to Suddenly Sandy for her to post, home address and all. Please enlighten me if there is another scenerio here that I have not considered.

It matters to me because I have always been curious if Ashley has been aware of how her friends, family and fans represent her, here and on other message boards and websites. It would bother me that I would see Choderman and others write biting comments about Laura on youtube and BwayWorld's mb, but I had thought that maybe Ashley wasn't aware of it. Since Ashley has been Sandy in Grease her "people" have gotten even more vocal and I've been surprised that she hasn't stopped it. Suddenly Sandy posted an e-mail from Dana to Ashley with Dana's personal address and posted it for everyone to see. I don't know if she took off Dana's address yet, but she failed to after several people asked her to. I started this thread because I wanted to know if Ashley is Suddenly Sandy (which would be a perfect name for her). I guess I will take Suddenly Sandy's word that she isn't Sandy, but I would love to know how she got the e-mail.

I would say that I am interested to know how she got the email as well, but I will also say that I'm willing to drop the whole ordeal for the benefit of the board.

I am worried that with the constant bickering about personal information, the board will close. For everyones sake, we must let it go.

From what I understand--ashley stays away from message boards..so i was told...but apparerently, ffrom what i have been reading--some of her close family/friends are on here?.....
and if thats the case--to all of you....is it really necessary to idk...boast about it? if you are friends of ashley, thats really great, good for you. kudos. but, so what if they are saying bad things about her. i mean, obviously identity theft is a different story (aka..claiming to be ashley on a messageboard [like this topic?...]...) but if fans of grease or whatever dont like her, thats their opinion. i really dont think its necessary if one person doesn tlike ashley for all of her fans to jump on them like fresh meat....i mean, dont get me wrong, i adore ash spenc..but when people say they dont like my favorite broadway performers i dont get angry with them and pick a fight..its their OWN opinion...

but maybe im missing out on the entire story and have no idea whats going on.

Hi everyone,

For what it's worth - I sent that e-mail to Ashley during the Grease reality show, on March 8, 2007. The e-mail address was ashleymspencer@yahoo.com. I had assumed it was her personal address, since she wasn't well-known at the time, and I never thought that she may have had somebody working for her, or a fan site already created for her. This was early on, about three-quarters through the run of the reality show. I just thought it was a nice gesture since I liked her on the show and it was her birthday. I was thrilled to get an email response that same day. I really liked the whole show, Ashley, Laura, and all the contestants - it was my favorite show on tv at the time! Laura emerged as my favorite towards the end, when she and Ashley performed "Hopelessly Devoted" on the 2nd to last show, and she seemed better for the role. This in no way (I thought) diminished Ashley's talent, I just happened to think she would be better for other roles (that Laura may not have been right for, by the way). Both girls - not to mention countless performers who are still waiting for their big break - are very talented! And it's great that they're so different, if they were the same personality type, then people may confuse them, and then they would be in competition for future roles. I would hope that there is room enough for all very talented performers. Have a great night!
