That's really awesome news, especially as bad as the economy is. If they can get an increase, then they're dong really good. Thanks for letting us know!
This is the worst week Grease has had. Hopefully, better times are coming for Grease and for all of us.
the economy is really scary
The malls are dead! No one is spending money.....everyone is afraid of what is ahead.....too many uncertainties out there.
I guess it depends on where you live, because I was at a mall yesterday and vowed never again on a weekend! It was packed, and I had to dodge people in order to get to my destinations.
Although I can't tell you how much money anyone was spending or even if they are buying (although most had shopping bags) the stores seem to have plenty of customers here in NYC.
Our store has been super busy. The stores start with Christmas so early as far as running sales and such, that it's no longer a last minute thing for people to shop. The sales have been running since before Halloween and people were shopping for Christmas then.Plus I think many shop on line too ! I do think it will be a less profitable year for retail though !
Old numbers nerd here. I'm surprised that this report always focuses on the increase in the number of seats sold. That increased 22%. But the actual sales revenue was up more than 56% from the previous week. I guess a lot of full price seats sold on the weekend when the discount isn't available. Good for them!!
