1. Derek was out. Last week they filmed their bit for the CBS Thanksgiving Day parade and had to do 18 takes (probably technical problems - an outside noise like a car or a plane can make them have to start all over again. Little things like that). His went on both shows on Saturday but I'm told that his voice was not up to par and he didn't perform either show yesterday. Josh went on as Danny and there was no one to fill his track. During Born to Hand Jive Marty had to dance alone to try and tempt Vince and before You're the One That I Want there were only two couples dancing instead of three. Josh was very good and he made some acting choices that I haven't seen any of the other Dannys make before.
2. Marty's bedroom wouldn't open all the way. They got the side with the chair open but the side with the bed and door wouldn't open. Lindsay kept trying to force it open but it wouldn't budge. They went on with all of their dialogue while Lindsay continued to try to open the door. With all of them walking around in the smaller area one of the lampshades got knocked off and Kirsten says "Gosh, Marty your house is falling apart!" Then Janine got the bottle of wine and yelled "Let's get the party started!" All the while Lindsay is still trying to get the door open and she says "Why am I the only one doing this?" Finally the voice of God spoke and said they were having technical difficulties and the show would resume soon. The curtain was brought down and they started working on the door. It took them, maybe, about five minutes and the curtain was brought back up to a round of applause. The scene went on without any other problems. I found out later that for the rest of the show they would make "Marty's house" comments to each other for the rest of the show. When Kenicke came out in Greased Lightenin' it was "Where did you get that car? Marty's garage?" Or when they were in Jan's basement..."this is a lot nicer than Marty's house."
3. Happy trails to Dominic. Last night was his last performance as Vince Fontaine. I have no idea who will be playing the part on Tuesday. I'm still holding out for Adrian Zmed.
4. Jamison returns from vacation tomorrow. Joe Komora has been filling in for him and made a very good Eugene.

Yes, they poisoned Derek so he'd be sick, had the door to Marty's room get stuck, sent Jamison on vacation, and told Dominic to leave just so I wouldn't get bored.

No one said to me "They're doing Greased Lightenin'" but the puzzle pieces fit. The huge clue is that some guy loaned his classic car to them for the shoot. What other number calls for it other than Sandy? And even Sandy has no real need for it.

Yes, it is GL. Ace, Derek, and Ryan all confirmed it. They did about 17 or 18 takes and Ace said he had to jump onto the concrete on the West Side Drive or something like that. We'll all see it on CBS Thanksgiving morning.
When the show opens Frenchy's hair is pink, for the Mooning/Sandra Dee/We Go Together scene she's blonde, for the dance she's back to her usual red, for Beauty School Dropout she has blue hair and she's back to red for the rest of the show after that.

I forgot to mention when I first wrote this thread on Monday that the Xavier Cano is now covering the role of Sonny and he's doing a really good job. His performance is a bit subtler than Jose's but he's still very good in the role. I'm hoping he'll be joining the ensemble or becoming a swing when Jose returns next month.
Also, at the end of the show when Sonny tells Marty that he's getting a new Impala and she asks him to paint her name on it they kiss. Very cute.
