Closing Night
Permalink Closed

Hello All,

Just a quick note that closing night is 3 days away. I hope everyone got their tickets. Anyone that can get pics are encouraged to share them on my site as I will be collecting as many as I can get outside of my own at the stage door for the website archive soon to be created.

Anyone going to closing night want to get dinner before the show? There are some good restaurants very close to the theatre. If anyone is interested in meeting for pre-show dinner, gather at the stage door at 5:30. Remember: curtain is at 7:00pm!

Have a great time everyone! Yes, it would be nice to be at the last show!
The restaurant right next to the theatre is a great place to eat.  The name of it is "Trecolore."  (Thanks Zeuss for the name).  Kristen and I ate there with Ashley the last time we were in New York, and the food was great!  I would highly recommend reservations though.  It was crowded.  And, I'm sure it will be even worse with the show closing that night.

If I was attending, I would definitely be along for dinner!  Have fun!

Yes, that was a really nice restaurant!  Although I would have been happy eating at McDonald's with Ashley!  Thank you again, Bumble Bee, for the best day ever!  smile

Eris said something about going to the last show I am sure she will report all the details, right down to what color wig Frenchie is wearing and if everyone is standing on the correct side of the jukebox or not.

Yes, Eris seems to have a keen eye for observation about the intricate workings of a show doesn't she?

I think everyone is just saying that she knows a lot about the show.  After all, she is the queen.

Eris has made many, many comments about the show because she has been to many many shows.

I agree with you. I imagine Eris has been to more Grease shows than anybody else in this forum. smile.gif

I would have to imagine that distinction solely belongs to many of the Ace fans who have seen the show upwards of 20 times. The only difference is that I, foolishly, tried to keep people whom I thought were interested in the production abreast of the evolution of the show over time. I guess I learned my lesson on that one.

Eris - I've always enjoyed reading your reviews about the show, and I'm sure most everybody else has also.

Despite the fact that Eris has been around from the beginning, I think I've seen the show more than she has. And why the remarks?? She has done nothing but keep people informed about a show and actors she cares about. I for one have been very thankful for her info.

I don't always understand stuff here, but if I lived closer, I would be at the show as often as possible. Once was not enough.smile.gif

I thought I would go maybe two times. It turned into at least 2 times a month. I'm not proud. I admit my craziness. Ace is very special in my life for more than being an 'American Idol heartthrob.' Ugh, I hate that. I know him as a human being, a good, kind, giving human being who has gone out of his way for his fans time and again. I will support him on his next endeavor, whatever that may be. That I got to enjoy Broadway and meet some of the cast has been "gravy" as Ace would say. It's been a wonderful 4 1/2 months, sadly ending a bit short for all of the people involved in the show. There are things I will NOT miss, but too many good memories to treasure. I've learned a lot during this run. Let's just say, my eyes are wide open. It's time for everyone to move on. Stop arguing about things that have been done for years now. Look ahead and enjoy.

Linny, I'm glad you got to see the show so many times. It's obvious how special Ace is to you. He really does seem like a genuinely wonderful person, and I wish him the best in his next project, whatever it is!
