That was my favorite TOO Kristen! Thanks for posting! What a nice memory that is. You should go and find the video of them acting silly doing this song.

Thanks Kristen, we can be entertained all night, Isn't that duet with Ashley and Max just the best. Remember the "Mashley" tea shirts that Max's friends had made? Oh, those were the days.

It is the best! I agree! And what a great idea that was for shirts!

Good idea! Loved that version too!
These two really look like they're good friends, don't they?
Seeing it now reminds me all over again how wrong I was in thinking that Laura would be the better partner for Max. They were impossible together as young lovers. I knew it when I saw the show, the final preview. No chemistry means bad reviews. If Max and Ashley could have brought their youth, spontaneity and playfulness to the Broadway stage, the outcome would have been very different. Ah, what might have been!
I couldn't agree more Ray, it was my favorite performance of the show. Hey, you never know, they still could end up working together some day. They could do a "Will and Grace" or "Three's Company" type sitcom, it would be awsome.

I get that Ray, you sould have seen Ashley in Hairspray, HILARIOUS, what a great role for her. Comedy is going to be her avenue to success, you can do so much more with facials and jestures than in a serious role. Max and Ashley goofed off all the time, on stage and off they really had a special relationship or maybe kinship who knows.

It was by far, the best performance of the TV show, in my opinion!

It was my favorite too. It is just a shame that they didn't get to perform together. Well, there is always the tour, it will be traveling around for some time. I think the producers missed the boat by not starting the tour right after the TV show ended. I mean, a lot of reality shows go on the road after their TV show has ended like Idol and Dancing With THe Stars. Just imagine, they could have used the whole 14 members of the TV show in the tour. THey could have made it part of their contract. People who voted all over the US would have had a chance to see their favorite.

For me, "Hard to Handle" was right up there as well. But, for the purposes of putting on a book musical, "it takes two".
Ashley has done well, with two (2) Broadway credits, both successful apparently. Laura is a virtuoso singer, and she is now a known quantity.
However.....I don't have the impression that Max's career benefitted much, if at all. Unlike Barry Bostwick, who looks seven feet tall and would have been hilarious no matter what, Max is a highly sensitive actor, who is therefore dependent on the situation being believable and conducive to his creativity. He had it in the little movie, "Echoboom", and on the tv show. Maybe the Broadway credit will open the right door in Tinseltown.
I am sure that is what Max is hoping for too. Don't you find it interesting that he is now engaged in a stage production? Remember that NBC had the option to retain every single contestant on GYTOTIW for a year including Max and chose not to. They could have developed a TV show for any one of them. Of course there are many other networks and pilot season is Jan. Feb. and March for television.
