I've been a fan of Laura's from her sweet personality since she was young since we grew up in the same city. I've followed her through the years and through the show. I couldn't be more excited for her as she is someone that you really want to succeed. I can't wait to see her in her next show this fall, only this one is on Broadway!!

Any other Laura fans on here that have known her for a while or Eaganites?

Hi there!  I am a HUGE Laura fan from West St Paul, MN, but didn't know about her until this show......I wish I could have seen her perform before; I almost went to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater to see "Grease", but just didn't make it there.  I do however, have plans to see her in September on BROADWAY, yeehaw!!!!  And I am going out to the Mall of America on the 19th to meet her finally, in person, yay!  I've been collecting everything I can of her and taping her when she sang the National Anthem at the Twins and Wild games, so I am excited.  My sister actually got to meet Laura and sit with her mom last week at Eagan high school when she was there for an appearance, and she signed my MSP magazine I bought :)  But I can't wait to SEE her for myself, hee hee!!!!!!

Laura and Nate are getting married tomorrow, aren't they? I think Ashley Spencer said she would be at her wedding, probably some others from the show. Yay for Laura and Nate! Cute couple...

Hi Laura fans!  I am Laura's Mom! Nate and Laura's wedding was just amazing and they had over 500 people attend.  The reception featured a 12 piece live band.  We had fantastic weather for the day and everything was great fun.  None of the other Grease contestants came (at least I sure did not see them if they were there) but some of them called Laura and wished her a great day.  Laura and Nate are honeymooning for a week, then coming home to pack up their things and move to New York.  They're absolutely thrilled over everything and know Laura can't wait to perform on Broadway! She has been so extremely busy since coming home from L.A. in finishing her wedding plans, doing various media things, and attending lots of events and parties on her behalf, but she is living her dreams in every way.  Even though she is young and has many, many changes going on her life,  I know she will thrive on Broadway.  She has done many professional shows in Minneapolis throughout her childhood and some of them performed quite a few more shows per week than she will perform on Broadway so I think she will hold up very well.  Thank you for all your love and support of her!  She is every bit as sweet as she seems.  I will miss her dearly in my every day life but I already have three dates to go see "Grease" in New York between opening night and Christmas so I am thrilled about that.  Maybe I can keep you posted once in a while on how she's doing!  If you have any questions, you can ask me!

Thanks so much for posting about Laura's wedding and how well it went. It sounds like it was wonderful, a really beautiful wedding for a fabulous couple. Nate seems like a fantastically supportive guy and I am sure they will both love living in New York.

You've done a terrific job in raising Laura to be the kind of young woman anyone would love their daughter to be. I know you will miss her when she moves, but I am sure you will stay close with phone calls.

Please do keep us updated,

Lily

Hi Laura's Mom,

Thanks for posting here and welcome to the forum !!  It will be great to get some inside info on Laura's career.

From the first day of live performances, Laura became our favorite contestant.  She obviously has the spirit, drive, talent and personality to be a fantastic Broadway star.

Please do keep us posted on how rehearsals are going.  Especially keep us posted on any upcoming TV and/or live appearances that she and Matt will be making.  We can't wait to see the show on August 31st (5th row, center!!).  I saw the original Broadway show and it has always been my all time favorite. Lion King is a close second.

Once again...welcome biggrin

Jim

smile  Thank you so much for the update on Laura & Nate's wedding.

I kept thinking about her all day and I'm just so happy for the both of
them.  Wow... I can't imagine what they must be feeling.  Just getting
married and after the Honeymoon,  moving to New York for Laura to
be on Broadway.  I'm so happy for her.  She seems like such a
Sweetheart and I hope so much to be able to meet the both of them
on my trip to New York.  I'm going to go see Laura & Max on
Broadway.  How wonderful does that sound.  You have to be so
proud of her.  Take care & God Bless.  DD

Hi Laura's Mom!

Thanks for the update. I'm a parent, and I have those moments of joy and pride with my own (younger) daughters. I can imagine how it is for you -- Laura does seem like a really special young woman, and a star in the making. I can't wait to see her and Max on Broadway. I'd be thrilled to hear from you again through this forum.

It was in the Sun Country Airlines in-flight magazine for December. I don't know anywhere you can get it but on one of their flights. Perhaps you could also try contacting someone at Sun Country and see if they'd send you one.

It's a Minneapolis-based budget airline so that's probably why you haven't heard of it. I would also suggest contacting Sun Country if you wish to obtain a physical copy of the article.

Laura and Nate are great and I know we'll be seeing more of them both in the future.
