It's fun to read random tidbits about Laura, including worst flubbed line and worst costume ever. Playbill had also featured Laura in Diva Talk July 13. When's Max's turn?
Every summer, the Broadway shows get together to do something really out of character: play softball! The games are every Thursday at Hecksher Fields (63rd and Central Park West). Usually, it's just the stagehands and other backstage personnel who play, but every now and then you'll see an actor or two or six. Matthew Broderick was big into playing for The Producers every year.
I didn't know Grease had a team this year, go figure.
This is a video back from April, just after Max and Laura won, that I missed. it was on Broadway Beat (TV Show) so it is a long segment and takes a while to load unless you have a T1. It took about 10 minutes or so on my DSL line. Max and Laura are on about mid-way through talking about the reality show and what it was like. But some of you might be interested. The first part of the show is about "Inherit the Wind".

The two actors are equally admiring of each other. "Laura is a gem," Crumm says. "She's just so good, and she brings so much to the role that I love." Returning the compliment, Osnes says, "Max brings something totally new, totally fresh. He'll still stay true to the role but bring his personality into it. I think what America fell in love with was Max's easygoing personality, and they're definitely going to get that in the Broadway show."
Still another article, this one focusing on K. Marshall. Pieces of this have been printed elsewhere but this is the first time I have seen the article in its entirety. It gives some cast responses to the "new direction" taken by this production.
A sort of pre-opening "on your mark get ready" piece that is a mixture of sarcasm and interesting comments. It focuses heavily on K. Marshall and offers the gratutitous comment that because she picked the talent if the show is to make it , it will be because of her but if it fails, she's the culprit.
There is a completely irrelevent statistical attendance comparison that is about as meaningful as saying that if all the words by this columnist were stretched end to end they wouldn't lead (or probably pass by) anything meaningful.
Gramps, Whatever is said I just kind of sit back and say well in the end what counts it the butts that are in the seats. If people like it and continue to buy tickets that will keep it going regardless of critics comments. And what are reviews anyway, a collection of opinions, educated opinons but opinions none the less. I like to go see movies that critics have panned just to see what all the hoo-ha is about. More often than not I like movies that the critics don't like. After reading the London reviews this one seemed pretty tame.
Be sure you click on the photos links halfway down the page. There are more pictures and they are really good. Here are a couple, but there's a lot more....
I can't find the link that you're talking about. Where is it? Love the photos by the way. Max and Laura are looking more and more like the characters they play each time i see a new photo.
reniefran, there are two red boxes under the words "Related Links." Really cute pictures. Max looks to be channeling his inner-Travolta here.
ETA: Broadway.com also has photo coverage from the recording studio. Different from the BWW pictures, in case anyone missed these from the other threads.
David Ian... NOW do you believe people can accept Max as the new sex symbol? He sure looks like a Danny Zuko to me and I think he's a lot better looking than Travolta. Super pictures.
Playbill article out just saying it is the opening night tomorrow. But there are a couple of nice photos that I think are different from the ones out so far. Playbill
Thanks for the post of the link for the video. It's cute and the picture of Max and Laura in the Playbill article. Is that really the same Max and Laura that we met on the TV show. What a transformation!. They are amazing!
They say that I won't last too long on Broadway I'll catch a Greyhound bus for home, they all say But they're dead wrong, I know they are 'Cause I can play this here guitar And I won't quit till I'm a star on Broadway

Cody is in the company and is Kenickie's understudy. He will be doing the role on October 20th as Matt Saldivar apparently takes the day off. Good article and photo.
