Thanks for doing all this research. It seems like many of the cast have not so much experience. Perhaps that will make it a more fun experience for that group with the more experienced players helping the less experienced...if they do that in acting. In my job we have the reputation of eating our young.Seems like they will have to work well together to make the whole thing work.

I just read on broadway.com that Stephen R Buntrock was going to play Vince Fontaine. He will have just finished a run as Gaston in Beauty and The Beast. So weird because I went to see Beauty  several weeks ago as a result of seeing Grease on TV. Gaston was simply gorgeous, built like Adonis and acted really, really well. I was very surprised and thought at the time, 'Boy Max really has some stiff Broadway competition, I sure  hope he is up to those standards when his time comes' ....never thinking they would be in the same play with Max as the lead. I was already  looking forward to seeing Grease, now I feel ...like wow...I can see if it was the make-up or if Gaston..er Bubtrock..is really that unbelieveably good-looking and built. And how Max stacks up against.....his collegues.

I'm certain Max has a personal trainer and is buffing up even as we write! Personally, I think Max is super cute!

I just saw a faceshot of Buntrock when I was clicking off this site and had to return. My mistake, Buntrock plays Teen Angel. And while still nice-looking I am not sure I would have recognized him as Gaston. I know Max said he was working out with a personal trainer. While many felt that was not something they thought he needed to do I was kinda glad about it as I prefer the athletic build on guys. In any case I am now thinking that some of Gastons's physique is owed to the makeup crew....it was just too good to be true.  Still the singing and acting were enviable.

Need I remind anyone that Max dealt quite handily with a boatload of male beauty on the tv show?

After 35 years (including the movie), they finally have the real Danny Zuko.
I feel certain that they will take full advantage of Max's immense and varied talents, his youth, and his unique suitability for this role.
Similar to his boxing experience, working out with a trainer will enhance his physicality and strengthen his dancing.
This is one young man who knows what he's doing!

You said a mouthful Ray. I have every confidence that Max can do everything he needs to do for this role and he is indeed the "real" Danny Zuko. As to his physical strength I seem to recall that he handled lifting a young lady and setting her down easily in one of the group numbers. Don't remember the exact one but yeah, he most definetely can do the job.
