Any Robyn fans?

Hey everyone! I know most of you are Laura & Max fans, but are any of you fans of Robyn Hurder? She's playing Marty, and I got to see her as Holly in the Wedding Singer (and she was amazingg) and I got to meet her afterward, she was so nice. She's in the ensemble in Chicago right now. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing her and the rest of the cast in Grease! Just wondering if there were any other fans out there!

I've never seen her in anything, but Marty is my favorite pink lady, so I'm excited to see her play my favorite character. She seems like an amazing addition to the cast and I'm sure I'll love her when I see her on JULY 26 SQUEE!

I can't wait to see Robyn-----she looks so talented!  She really impressed me the few minutes that we saw of her on the Finale :)  In real life, she is a brunette, correct?  I've seen a few pictures of her on-line.....in any event, it's going to be a great show, I'm looking forward to it, and hopefully seeing the cast at the stage door after!!!!!biggrin

She's blonde, actually! When I saw her at the stagedoor in November I didn't recognize her at first because she has blonde hair now, and in her headshot she's really tan and has dark hair haha.
But anyway, here's my pic with her (with me cut out, lol) just incase any of you wanted to see!

Robyn is favorite one in the cast (thats saying a lot seeing as they have J.Po and Allison FIscher).  Her as Holly in The Wedding Singer is unreal.

I have never seen a Broadway show, but I'm planning to go and expect to become a fan of more than just Max and Laura. (I do LOVE live theater, but I've only attended college and regional productions.) Your thread put Robyn/Marty on my radar, so i'll be watchin'.

I'm happy you like it! I actually think there's a song in the broadway show sung by Marty, I hope they're putting it into the revival. I'm excited to hear the songs that weren't in the movie.

No offense to Laura or Max, because they are both extremely talented, and I even voted for them on the show, but Robyn is BY FAR my favorite cast member of Grease!! I never got to see her in TWS, but I saw her in Chicago and she was phenomonal, even for the size of her part. I actually recognized her at the Gershwin SD, and then saw her at the Ambassador Theatre 2 days later in the show and afterwards. She remembered my name. One of my top favorite Broadway actresses. Not only taldented, but one of the sweetest!!

Eager to hear more about Robyn and the rest of the cast!  It's fun to know the stories behind the actors/actresses - their journeys to where they are now.  That is what has connected so many of us with Max and Laura.

No...I just checked my Playbill and I guess I didn't realize that she wasn't in the OBC. I guess she came in when the cast changed.

Joanne Manning was my Donatella (she was an understudy) and I saw Cara Cooper as Holly. lol.

Yeah, she replaced Cara Cooper when she left in October, I think.

I saw Joanne Manning 2x in that track, since Cara was out the first time and Robyn was on as Holly the second. She was really good... for how small the parts are. Doing the worm and using a baby voice, haha.
