Hello Ladies and Welcome to the first "meeting" of the Awesome Aunties Club.
The list of ladies I have heard from so far is Kay,Future Sandy,Tukee Gal, LilyCat(Granny Greaser) and Iowa fan. If your name isn't on the list and you told me you want to be included I apolozie.If you want to be included consider yourself one of us. Sit a spell! Take your shoes off. I don't know that this will be an actual formal club but I thought it would be neat to have a group of ladies whose sole purpose is to support, love and pray for our "niece" Laura and our "nephew" Max. For those reading this post who don't know what I'm referring to the idea here is that we kinda of feel close to these two marvelous kids and we wanted to show it in a special way. So here is our club charter
1. As a member of the Awesome Aunties club I promise to love and support Max and Laura 
2. My support consists of but is not limited to
a. Sending auntly kind of advice via e-mail,letters,blogs etc.
b. Sending a page of auntly advice to greasegift@yahoo.com
c. Letting members know of special concerns for Max and Laura that those of us who pray may want to know about
That's about it. I thought it might be nice to be offically recognized as a fan club but I don't know how to make that happen.
Rachel or Jane if you happen to be reading this please feel free to let us know of any concerns that you have for Rachel and Max. We're here to help.

Yay! I'm excited. I'm probably the youngest aunt here haha. (I'm 13). But oh well! I just wanna support Max and Laura everyway I can.

Yay -- I'm here and it's still July 1 where I am (10:30 on the West Coast)!! I'm sitting here watching Grease on Nick at Nite -- way cool!!!! Max and Laura are so cute and did such a good job hosting this! I LOVE the idea that prayer support is a part of this group -- prayer is an awesome powerful thing!

Help me, please, with the page of "auntly advice" that I need to make -- can you give me some hints on how to prepare this? Is it going to be only on the computer or is it going to be printed out or what? Thanks for any tips you can provide.

I'm looking forward to being a member of this group and getting to know other members!!!

You can make your page in Microsoft Word and then send it as an attachment for your e-mail. The address to send it to is greasegift@yahoo.com. In Word you can add pictures, do cool stuff with colored text etc. The lady that is doing this will receive it and print it off to give to them when she goes to see Grease.
Feel free to include your name and address if you have hopes for Laura or Max to answer you!

Reniefran -- thank you for your help with the page!  I saw where it was posted that the deadline was changed to July 31 -- that should help more people have time to submit pages!


Thank you also for sharing the prayer request from Max's mom!!! I think it's great that she knows there is a supportive place where she feels comfortable enough to share!

Hi Awesome Aunties,
Hey I just wanted to tell you all another prayer request that Jane communicated to me. She has asked that we pray for Laura and Nathan's marriage that they will have the time they need to meld together. I thought this was simpler than posting a brand new topic.

So ladies, guess we have a club within a club. Some of the most fun times I had as a kid were with my cousins. So hey why not, you youngsters can be the Cool Cousins and us oldsters will be the Awesome Aunties.

Please add me as a member of the "Awesome Aunties". I may be a little beyond the "Auntie" age, but I would much rather be an "Awesome Auntie" than a "Giddy Grandma"! I think this is a great idea and also like that we can be prayer warriors for Max, Laura, and the rest of the Grease cast. I suggest that we all pray for rave reviews from the critics when the show opens.
