Has anyone else noticed that drawings of the costumes are now up in the Photo Gallery? As an artist myself, I'm beyond excited to see these. I can't believe how fabulous they look, beyond what I imagine them to be (I guess I always thought they would look somewhat like the "Grease" movie). It seems like the designer (and Kathleen Marshall) are thinking out of the box and taking the show to another level. I'm impressed and more eager than ever to see the show. Can't believe I have to wait 'til end of October!
I just took a look at them and generally they seem great. I imagine the last one is Cha Cha's costume at the dance. Seems like it would fit her character anyway. The one just to the left of that one seems to be the one Sandy will wear at the end. the costume is OK, but better than the movie outfit. I just never liked the end to the movie when Sandy turns a little slutty but it is only a movie...though it does seem to me to reflect that then as now women change to please their man. OK not so much now as then.
