If you closed your eyes last night,you would have thought you were back in New York even though you knew you had just valeted your car in West Hollywood. Yes, Broadway came to Hollywood to a new, beautiful new supper club called Eleven for "Changed for Good: An Intimate Evening with Stephen Schwartz." It could have been an evening at Don't Tell Mama's or 88's, as more than 2 dozen cabaret artist came to salute Stephen Schwartz before a packed house of New York transplants and theatre lovers. It was a trip down memory lane as Steven's wonderful songbook from Broadway -Godspell, Pippin, The Baker's Wife, Children of Eden, The Magic Show and Wicked as well as his Hollywood triumphs with Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame and Pocahontas--could be heard well above the traffic on Santa Monica Blvd.

...Chad Doreck, the talented runner-up from NBC'S "You're the Want That I Want" talent search for Grease was superb with Pippin's "Corner of the Sky." There were many Chad groupies in the house, it should be noted!

"Fractured Broadway 2" produced by Ronn Goswick, Executive Producer and Director of the Valley Musical Theatre (which just completed its second year of operation), was a sold-out success on June 11, 2007 at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, CA.

The 90 minute spectacular, with musical direction by Los Angeles Ovation Award winner Gerald Sternbach, featured 35 theatre stars performing roles in which they would never, ever be cast. Among the performers were Kristoffer Cusick (co-starring as Fiyero in the current Los Angeles production of Wicked; a role he also performed on Broadway and in Chicago); Chad Doreck (from NBCs hit 2007 series "Grease: Youre the One That I Want"); Broadway stars Kevin Earley (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Les Miserables), Christina Saffran Ashford (Singin in the Rain, A Chorus Line, Drood, The Music Man), Tony Award nominee Brian Lane Green (for Broadways Starmites, plus co-star of Broadways Big River and The Life), and Ruth Williamson (La Cage Aux Folles, The Music Man, Little Me, Guys and Dolls, Annie).
