Saw the show...

Hey! I was at the August 17th show, and it was awesome!!! I LOVED the upper box thing...

I got Max and Laura's autograph, but couldn't really say anything, cause it was too crowded.

And i'm wondering, when the cast recording comes out, will we most likely be able to get it at any store that sells music?

Oooh also, will the playbills be different throughout their run?

Great the you liked the show.

I was actually wondering too, will I be able to find the CD anywhere?? The music I always try and find on release dates (The Wedding Singer OBCR, Carmen Rasmusen, Beverley Mitchell, Mamma Mia 5th Anniversary....) is never available, because BestBuy and Target and pretty much every other store carries the music most people would like to purchase, which is the stuff I only scatterdly listen too. So with my luck I won't be able to find the Grease CD and I'll have to purchase it off line...which I don't like to do. Heh. That about sums about most of my very annoying Tuesday calls and trips to stores.

The CD was recorded by Sony and will be available in stores everywhere, not just Broadway boutiques. Whether or not the huge chains like Best Buy or Target will have it remains to be seen, but music stores like FYE or Sam Goody will.

Actually, I think Borders Bookstore would be one of the best places to get the CD. I went there a few days ago looking for the hairspray movie soundtrack and it turns out they have this HUGE Broadway section dedicated to recorded Broadway soundtracks. They had all 3 Grease soundtracks (first time on Broadway, the revival, and the movie), shows old and new... originals and revivals. I was quite impressed.

Hmm Yeah, actually, that is where I got my Carmen Rasmusen CD this past Tuesday. FYE. But they are over priced, and often times, they only have one or two copies of CDs, which is kind of ridiculous.

Borders is a good idea! But I think they will probably be a few dollars more too. I'll have to look into that.
Thanks for the info

We pre-ordered the CD from Amazon.com. Did the same thing with Harry Potter #7, and we got it on the day it came out. Can't wait!
