Hi all, this is for all of you who have seen this fabulous show! I am seeing the show Friday, along with my mom and sister :) We're flying in from Minnesota and couldn't be more excited! I really want to stage door after it's over, and am trying to put together a plan of attack, so to speak. I know there is a curtain call, etc. I REALLY want to get out to the stage door and get some prime places to wait for the cast to come out. Should one of us sneak out during the curtain call and try to secure some places?? Or would we be okay waiting until the end before going out? It's Broadway, and I just want us to have the best experience, I don't want to miss a thing!! Also, how long is the intermission? Is it enough time to hit the bathroom? Are any food/drinks for sale? Does anyone remember how much the programs sell for? Ooooh, what time should we get to the Brooks Atkinson? Ok, I think those are my questions as of this point-----I'll for sure write again if any more pop into my head :) Thanks everyone, for your time and help, hopefully this week goes FAST, ha ha ha! Dana
You need to get some info from someone who attended an evening performance. My only show so far was the Sunday matinee right before Opening Night. I imagine that there are more women at a matinee, and there was a long bathroom line before curtain and at intermission. Some women simply used the Men's Room. Doors open only a half hour before curtain, and I don't know how long the intermission is....not long enough. The Restrooms, only one each, are on the second floor, the mezzanine level. So plan accordingly.

To have one of you sneak out during the curtain call would be useless. Someone may try to save you a place in front, but they would have to go through many people to get there. I just don't see that happening. I would say that intermission is about 10-15 minutes. The womens bathroom seems to be in high demand. We sat in the front row and by the time she made it upstairs (the one and only bathroom) she was pretty far back in line and didn't decided to skip it and hope not to have any accidents. I didn't see any food for sale, but upstairs there is a small bar for beverages. I don't know the cost of the programs, but they too are located upstairs located near the womens restroom. You can get there as early as you want, but they don't open the doors until 30 minutes prior to curtain. You have to wait outside if you get there early. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. And remember, HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!!!! It is definitely a show I will go back to and remember for the rest of my life. TAKE CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. E I respectfully submit does know know the intimate details of a ladies restromm and its line. There is not nearly enough time to use it unless you are one of the first 20 in line. So it is either that or go to one of the thousand restaurants nearby just before you get in. Or just enjoy the show. It is so enetertaining that you will forget about the powder room anyway! I would not miss a minute of the show. Max and Laura stick around and sign everybody's whatever anyway...or at least they have been. It is just fun watching that happen. I think you have to move on when you get their autograph anyway. I liked getting there early and talking to some of the people in line and I liked sitting in the theatre listening to the music waiting for the show to start. So I got there about 45 minutes before showtime. You don't really need to stock up on goiodies too much...your attention will be for sure be focused elsewhere.
Mr. E I respectfully submit does know know the intimate details of a ladies restromm and its line. I hope there was a "not" that's missing between the "does know..."
At which point yes, you're correct. I do not know the intimate details of a ladies room and it's line. I was just making a generalizion.
LOL, my mistake, yes of course the NOT was missing....and one other generalization you can make about the ladies restroom is that as many ladies as you see on that line there are an equal number who just forget it....
Although the line is down the hall from the ladies room, there is someone inside helping people to get to the open stalls and the line moves quickly. Just leave you seat as soon as the house lights go on and you will be fine.
