Magic changes.....and other random info

Okay smart forum friends, I have a question, I know one of you will know the answer!
On the MDA telethon, Max's line...."Wicked...."  was that in the show??? I missed it and I have been kicking myself.  Did I miss it from the mezzinine, am I an idiot, did they add that line in????
That was such a great line and such great "Max" delivery....well, that's it, I have to see the show again!!!

That line did stand out as very "Max-like." I wonder if he changes dialogue a bit each time, just to keep the material fresh? I've heard other actors mention doing this.

I took a double take at that line myself. I was in the mezzanine also for the new finale and I don't remember that, but who knows. I am going again and will listen for it. I imagine actors do add things from time to time. When we saw BATB, though I didn't notice it, the people I was with said they could tell the Beast was ad libbing a lot because he delivered many funny lines not in the movie that the other actors were, rather unsuccessfully, trying not to laugh at. By the way the as you may probably already know Teenangel was Gaston in the BATB and was really good just like he is in Grease.

*sigh* thanks for the replies, I will just have to see the show again, I was just bummed I missed that great moment live, if indeed it was in the preview shows.  And thanks to Max's parents for figuring out how to post that MDA clip, it was terrific!  Laura was just as lovely as ever and Max, well, he is amazing and inspiring as always!  I just love that he seems to stay true to his "Max" self that all his fans love and admire!!!

It's a scripted line.

"Hey, Sandy. Wow, what a total! Wick-ed."

It's even written as "Wick-ed!"

I had a feeling that you would have the definite answer, Mr. E.!  Thanks so much!  I guess the conclusion to my post is that I missed that line.....the way that Max said it was just so.....him....he's fantastic at telling a story....thanks again, you are indeed, the guru of all things Broadway!!

No, just Grease. It comes from working on it too many times...and having way too many marked up editions of the script.
