Thanks so much for sharing those fabulous pictures with us!! That is why I love this board, hearing these fresh and exciting stories! I am planning my next trip to the show and hearing these comments and seeing the pics just makes me more anxious to get back there!! Can't wait!! And I'm so happy for you that you had such a wonderful sweet 16, something I'm sure you will never ever forget! Thanks again!
Oh, and one comment on Max's hair, love that he didn't have his cap on and that he left his Danny hair in place, LOVE that!!

Not sure when I'm going back....I saw the show in August and loved it and can't wait to see how its evolved. I am trying to also get tickets to Jennifer Garner in Cyrano and Wicked and any other tickets I can get my hands on. Can't wait!!

Oh, I wish I could have seen it in August! I'm sure the show has changed in some ways, but it probably has only gotten better!!

I think Laura and Max are getting used to life as Broadway stars because I saw a video of one of their first after-performances by the stage door and they looked a little overwhelmed with all the attention. Yesterday they seemed cool, calm and collected biggrin

Best Birthday wishes....SweetSixteen. Thanks so much for sharing part of your birthday with us. I too saw the show in its "preview" stage back in August. Hopefully we can go back in April as planned. Still working out the details.

koko3.......You will love Wicked. We saw it in NYC the day after Grease and then again in Chicago. I will definitely have to thank my wife for getting me addicted to musicals. They are so relaxing and entertaining.

Yes, Happy Belated BIrthday "Sweet Sixteen!"

I am so happy for you that you spent your "16th Birthday" see Laura and Max in
Grease on Broadway! I am sure it was the Happiest Day in Your Life!

I look forward on Feb. 12 and Feb. 13th, 2008 to see "Grease." On Feb. 22nd,
I will be 59. So, Like You, Sweet Sixteen, I will have one of the happiest and greatest day of my life also. I have never been to Broadway (Only Chicago Theater). I have never afforded such to go to New York and see a show. But this will be my Birthday GIft from me to me!

Now, I just await after tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct 2nd, to have my preordered CD of their new Broadway Cast Recording of Grease!. That is the next bext thing to seeing them in person.

Thanks for sharing the picture of you wth Max and you with Max and Laura. I love it!

Happy Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen. I can feel your excitement and am so happy for you that you had such a memorable time. Save that picture somewhere secure, I am sure you will treasure it in years to come.

And not to worry....I saw Grease in July, August and then again in late September after they made some changes. And yes, the show has only gotten better with each performance. Max is more comfortable and his confidence shows in his performance, Jose is even funnier than before, Laura sings beautifully and you feel for her character and the chemisrty between the actors, especially Max and Laura is ever more present. The entire cast and show is great like you said.

And you must be rather perceptive because they did seem a little overwhelmed at the stage door in the beginning but when we went last time they were really accomodating to their fans and so at ease.

What a great thread! It is interesting to hear that they seem more confident now because I did pick up on the fact they seemed a bit overwhelmed at the stage door back in Aug. (understandably since they really went through so much in the begining). I can't even begin to imagine being 21 years old, going from virtual unknown to going through that reality show experience to Broadway leads in a very short period of time, having all these crazy stage door experiences and all the pressure to perform, etc etc. I think they've handled it beautifully and from the recent pictures I've seen and fan reviews it seems they are settling in and becoming more at ease in their roles and embracing the idea that they have fans who adore them, etc. My true wish for them both is they just enjoy this wonderful, amazing experience and soak it all up! Can't wait to see the show again (I wonder how many times I can say that, I've said it a lot!!)!
And thanks again SS, your enthusiasm is contagious!

I just have to jump in and say that I'm also going to see the show this month for my birthday!!! Not only is my birthday in Oct., it's also on Oct. 8th (Max's b-day). I'm beyond excited, especially since I've been waiting since March. I've never been to NYC, though it was always a dream of mine to visit one day. And it took Max and Laura for me to make it happen. On top of that, my sister will be flying in from a different city and we'll meet at the airport, so it's also the first "sisters" trip for us. My dear husband is staying behind to watch our 3 little kids (on top of paying for everything!). And he wouldn't have offered to if he wasn't impressed with Max and Laura as well! While in town, we also plan to see at least 2 other Broadway shows.

I don't care what the reviews say, all I know is that it took Max and Laura and the cast's performance at the last episode of GYTOTIW for this mom to say "I gotta go to NY!!" So for that, I'm grateful that I caught the TV show.

Well, in the picture of SweetSixteen with Max and Laura, Laura is wearing red. I think SS was saying that the red lettering on Max's shirt matched the red of Laura's. Perhaps when she saw them in person, the colors really just struck her. The message on Max's shirt is likely an 'inside joke.' I wonder if he bought it after hearing a few too many questions or observations about his love life, or if someone gave it to him for the same reasons, if it is in reference to his relationship with Laura onstage (hot there, while warm and amiable everywhere else) or with someone else. Some folks are surely still asking him about Allie.

I wonder how many people at that performance asked for an explanation of the shirt. LOL.

I do love this discussion of everyone's experiences. We went through a short dry spell there, so thanks again to SweetSixteen for getting the discussions rolling again.

Thank you SO much for all the birthday messages!! I'm framing the Playbill, my ticket and the picture of me, max and Laura, all in one frame. It'll be like a scrapbook picture frame, lol. I am positive that the feeling I had when i met them will never fade in my mind because it was the best day ever!!! I was trying to scan my playbill but my scanner's broken...but it looks amazing with the autographs!

Everyone at school saw the pictures and I was asked so many questions on how I met them! I feel so special, hehehe but really, the only reason I got a picture was because Max and Laura are so nice and caring of their fans!!
