As many of you know I went to go see a show tonight and that show was Hairspray. So I, of course, saw Ashley Spencer on stage. She was great - again! lol
During intermission I happened to look up and spotted George Wendt in one of the boxes! He's taking over the role of Edna next week.
During curtain calls I jumped out of my seat when Ashley look her bow and I noticed someone two rows in front of me do the same thing. I glanced over at him and thought this his profile looked verrrry familliar. It was Jason!
After the lights went up I went over to say hi and who was sitting next to him but Kathleen! We chatted for a bit but parted ways once we got out of the theatre. They went somewhere and I went to the stage door so that I could say hi to Ashley.
A few minutes later Jason and Kathleen were at the stage door and we chatted some more. I told Kathleen that I was going to see Derek's show and Jason says "Derek's in a show?" I must have given him a look because he then said "Seriously, I didn't know Derek was in a show." I told him a bit about the show and he says "Wait, you're going all the way to Florida to see Derek?" I think he was a bit weirded out. But I quickly explained the scenerio and Kathleen thought it was SO wonderful!
They go inside (Ashley never came out to sign. Darn that Kathleen and Jason! lol). And I run across the street because I spotted Jersey Boy John Lloyd Young. I said hi and he remembered me. Awesome!
Then I went back across the street and chatted with Paul Vogt (current Hairspray Edna) a bit when I hear this loud "Squeee!" behind me and see this woman throw herself at Paul. It was Austin's best friend Katrina!
I chatted with her for a bit and it turned out we were walking in the same direction and we chatted while we walked until we had to part ways.
Once I was alone I started scanning the crowds. Who else was left for me to run into? Ha!
