When does she want to go? Did she try going to the box office? If they are sold out for that day, she can get standing room.

Stub hub but the prices are higher than at the box office.

Stub hub is an online site for people buying and selling their tickets.  Just don't know how you would manage a quick transaction on it.  I haven't used it so maybe someone who has used it can tell you.

Best bet is to go to the box office and ask if they have anything.  Good luck.

She went to the box office today, and they said they have nothing to Nov. and Dec.
It's odd though, because when I punch in a ticket request here on the Grease site, it says I could get a ticket for tomorow night. Only problem is if I pay with a credit card, they only release the ticket to the person who's name is on the credit card and with picture ID. I'm in Canada 1000's of miles away!

That's really strange. I just went to ticketmaster.com, and there's a great single, Orch. 4th row center, $121.50, for the most popular time of all, Sat. night. If it's really sold out, they sell standing room cheap!

She could also just go to the theater about an hour before the show and see if anyone is selling a ticket. This frequently happens at Broadway shows for one reason or another.
Good luck!

You could try calling Ticket Master, explaining the situation and seeing if they will release the ticket to your daughter on her identification.  The phone number is also on the ticket site, I think.

My daughter just called!!! She loved the show, she said Max was incredible, she said he brought depth to the character, and she liked him more than John Travolta's Danny! She said his dancing was super.

Oh, her standing ticket was about $50 and she ended up getting a seat anyways because somebody didn't show up for theirs.

What a wonderful "outcome". I was somewhat fretting over your trevails to get a ticket for your daughter. Tell her we would like an even more detailed review! So glad it all worked out and best of all--she liked the show.

She said the set was really good, she is in university for theatre, and the way the set pieces gets on stage kept thrilling her. She wasn't really a grease YTOTIW fan, I watched and kept telling her things, and at the show she could not get over how wonderful Max was!

Great to hear that we have a new Max fan. Very interesting to hear about the sets etc. Anything more she wants to share is wonderful.

And thanks for steering her in the "right" direction!

I decided I'd ask my question here and revive this thread, verse starting a new topic. So, has standing room been discontinued for Grease? I haven't heard much about it lately, and can't find anything leading me one way or another. I'm going into the city in March, and i'm making show plans...if Standing room is still available, could someone please let me know how much it is, and also, do you have to get to the theatre early to get it? Or are they available for a while, until the sell out? I know that with most shows who have standing room policies the show has to be sold out first. Has Grease been selling out lately? Haha, I know I have many questions...any help would be extremley appreciated! THANKS!

Ok...thanks for this information! Now...are these polocies still in effect? Assuming the show is sold out, say, tonight, would I be able to purchase Standing Room tickets?

go to playbill.com
scroll down to "Insider Info" on the blue bar on the right
click on "Broadway Rush and Standing Room Only Policies"
it's randomly updated
