It's a tour of Marshall's production. But no contracts are signed for any cast members.

Ahhhhh! Grease in my neighborhood. We frequently attend road shows, symphony, opera and baseball in Seattle and more than likely we will take in Grease.

Now I am definitely hoping that Max and Laura are with the road company though. in all honesty, I don't expect to see many of the original cast sign on to the road show unless one of the undertudies or cast moves up to a principle role.

I wonder if they will use the band in the loft model? Probably not as it would require a lot of extra property truckage. However, other shows here, such as Cats, Joseph and His Techicolor whatever, Les Miz etc, had nice sets and the opera sets are often very involved and intricate.

There are several houses they could use asn each are large staged and have all the encoutrement required.

We'll see.

Probably won't have all the Broadway cast on the tour, but maybe a few.

What I would love is NBC or Nickeoleon or one of the networks do a taping of the show with the current cast and air it, similar to what was done with "Legally Blonde."  It's the only way that everyone who voted for Max and Laura would have a chance to see them do the roles.  Even if it was taped and they held off on releasing it until after the show closes, at least it would be available for people to see.

It was one of the things that many of us who saw "The Boy From Oz" had hoped would happen with that show, especially since it closed once Hugh Jackman's contract ended.  I have wonderful memories of it, but would have loved to have had a video of it.

Granted, it's not live theater,  which is preferable, but it would be great to see anyway.

Seattle seems to be one of the cities already promoting the touring show. Laura has heard from someone in that area that there are posters of the show somewhere with her and Max on the poster advertising the show. This is a bit deceiving as at least so far the cast of that show is unknown.

So what if anything does this mean for Grease on Broadway?

Nothing at all. Many currently running shows have tours out.

Terribly deceiving!!!!! You are correct Jane. The start of this thread is proof enough. The person who started this thread is thinking that the current cast will be touring "GREASE" and that they will be seeing them in Seattle in 2009. Now, I'm not trying to say that I know everything that there is to know about some people, nor am I trying to say that I know him personally, but, I do believe MAX has already stated that he will NOT be touring. So, thats at least one current cast member that won't be there. And he is the lead. I wonder who else.
Deceiving, very deceiving. I don't mind the advertising. I think its great, but can they at least figure out what and who before they advertise it.!?!?!?!?!?!!!!
