Musicals in Bryant Park

Listing

Grease is scheduled for August 14 along with Legally Blonde, Young Frankenstein, 13, and Rent.  This event takes place from 12:30pm-1:30pm so the chances of my going are pretty much nil.  Unless I don't get a new job between now and then.

I usually try to get to the Bryant Park concerts...I'll be in Russia that day, though. (Ironically, the day after my birthday.)

We are internet friends and this is our first meeting in person.

Does it get so crowded at Bryant Park that you can't see the performers? I would love to make a day trip to NYC for a free concert and satisfy my Grease fix.

Since I did end up getting the job I alluded to in the original post I won't be going. But I would like to know if anyone on the board is definitely going.

I've heard that it's a rather leisurely event. People bring their lunches and relax on lawn chairs or blankets.
