Nope. Only the opening cast gets to do an album. On RARE occasion an album is made with a replacement (I believe there is an recording available of Grease with Brooke Shields as Rizzo as opposed to the Rosie O'Donnell version). But that is the exception and not the rule. I HIGHLY doubt we'll see a new recording.
Besides, a new recording would TOTALLY undermine Max and Laura's win of the reality show.

Yes, the playbill will continue to have Max and Laura listed as Danny and Sandy after they're long gone.
Ug! You edited your post and now my goofy reply doesn't make sense. How heartbreaking!
Anyway, I would imagine that Max and Laura's pictures will not be on the cover anymore. Will Derek and Ashley's? I don't know. Maybe it'll now just say Grease

Why is it necessary to slam Mr. Hicks and his fans? I will be very interested in the Taylor Hicks merchandise, so call me crazy. I think your username is very revealing as well. Can I call you Hater?

Hi, I'm not a Taylor Hicks fan either, although I'm not a hater. I see there is another whole board here for his fans to post on. I hope it's OK to say I don't like him, if I keep it to this board. That must be why there are two boards?
Every year BC/EFA sells Carols for a Cure. It's an album of Christmas songs sun by the various casts of Broadway musicals and the proceeds go to BC/EFA. That might be the place to get an album with the new Grease cast. I can't say for sure that Grease will be on it but last year's was a two-CD set so, I'd say, the odds are pretty good. Last year the cast of Grease performed Greaseified versions of Jolly Old St Nicholas/Up on a Housetop.

I clicked on the link and found something I would love to go to! Broadway Barks!

Welcome KarenP. I don't think that the intent was two separate folders one for fans and one for bashing. At least, I certainly hope not. I am a fan of ALL of the Grease cast and enjoy the civility that is directed at all the performers, many who are just starting their theatrical careers. I guess I am just a little surprised that with your second post you are stating that you dislike someone. I hope you find an area to your liking where you can post about your favorites.

Thanks Eris for this information. I would love to have a two cd set. Actually, I know several people that would enjoy receiving it as a Christmas gift. **crosses fingers that Grease will be on it.**

Well, now, that was just unnecesary. Like or dislike who you will...not everyone is everyone's cup-o-tea....but to knock others for something they like that you don't like is just disrespectful and unwarrented.
Opinions are fine...."I don't care for So-and-So myself. He's not my cup of tea" is a personal opinion. "So-and-So's fans are crazy for liking him/her" is insulting those fans as well as So-and-So.
Anyway....I didn't mention it to start a debate. I only mentioned it because it wasn't nice. That's all.
I didn't come to this thread to talk about anything other than the Grease Christmas CD that was mentioned. It sounds awesome and I might have to buy it. :) Is it available here or should I go to Amazon or somewhere else?
The cd is available in many theatres with the merchandise or at BC/EFA. At some point in the next few months we should hear something about which shows will be on the CD.

Oh wonderful!!! Thank you.
Eris....who is that in your avi? Everytime one of your posts come up I find myself staring at it. Is that woman Elizabeth Taylor?
Julie Andrews was the original Cinderella back on the telecast in 1957. Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein chose her for the role. It was written for television - not the stage. Jon Cypher played Prince Christopher. He later went on to play Chief Fletcher Daniels on Hill Street Blues

Wow, I wasn't around in 1957. teehee I'll have to try to find this version as well. Growing up, Cinderella was my favorite fairy tale. I love Disney's animated version. That's the main one I've seen ofcourse. I used to collet Cinderella memorbilla.
Thank you Eris for that info. :)
I liked Drew Barrymore's version called "Ever After". Ofcourse it is losely based on the original story. Very losely. But sweet non-the-less.
Yes and you don't ever try to force your belly button on anyone either. I appreciate that.
I try not to, we are entitled to love our own belly buttons. An over zealous pushy fan, can turn someone off to the possibility of the other person becoming a fan. It happened to me, with someone I was on the fence with. so I try.
Stockardfan, you haven't posted in awhile! I was thinking about you the other day. I was watching the documentary Look Up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman and they showed parts of Stockard Channing's screen test for Lois Lane opposite Christopher Reeve. I've never been a huge Margot Kidder fan and I liked a lot of the acting choices Stockard made as Lois.

I didn't even know Stockard had been considered for Lois Lane! I would have liked to have seen that documentary. What channel was it on? Maybe they will re-air it....
