The Golden is a small theater...800 seats...and it's only doing around 80% capacity. Is that OK for a 3-year-old show? It's newer on the West End and quite a hit, I believe. It looks like a show that needs an intimate theater.

The show is Sesame Street for adults. You soon forget there are people holding puppets and the puppets soon come alive with very distinct and interesting personalities. They interact with people and the result is very funny indeed.

Five years and counting. Grease should last five years and still be selling at 80%!

Idk if someone already posted this i didnt really take time to read everyones posts, but i belive i read somewhere that lauras husband nate does a form of photography. He has a photography web page and laura has an album on her facebook page with pictures her husband took. And as for Laura turning down AVENUE Q I think she will find something else to do...or at least i hope she does soon so all of us fans can go see her in something else soon! smile

I just signed up for a facebook and myspace account. How do I ask Laura "to be my friend."

For myspace, go to Laura's page, and click "Add to Friends."

For facebook, go to Laura's page, and click "Add as Friend."

Then Laura will need to add you to both.

I haven't done this for either of Laura's pages, but that is how myspace and facebook work in general.

Yes you are right, Laura's husband Nathan is a great photographer and also an amazing singer/actor. I think that's awesome that Laura is taking her time and picking and choosing her next role....I know she will be back on Broadway before you know it, and I can't wait to come out again and see her on stage; she is definitely a star and is here to stay

I just booked this little gig at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, playing Kim McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie. The event is called Broadway: Three Generations. And they are doing mini concert versions of three shows (Bye Bye Birdie, Side Show, and Girl Crazy) and putting them all into one evening of entertainment. It's only a three week gig (two weeks of rehearsal, one week of performances Sept 30-Oct 5), so Nate and I won't be apart long at all. He'll probably come out to DC for one or two weeks of it anyway! Wow, I may be going to see Laura! I just told my mom about it and she is more excited than me! We live 25 min from DC. Now if we can get someone to navigate us through the city....

Cool Beyond Words!!!!!! I live just outside of DC and wouldn't miss this. It will be my first chance to see Laura perform and she is my #1 person from amongst the 14 finalists on the TV show. For those who are interested, tickets start at only $25, which is amazingly affordable for the Kennedy Center. I'm psyched!

Hi Laura friends! Laura was just home for 4+ days and that was wonderful beyond words. I was so lonesome for her my heart just hurt but we had such a great visit that I feel "filled back up" again. She is doing amazingly well. She is healthy and vibrant and energetic and enjoying a little time off. She had just had the audition for the Washington DC gig the day before she came home and was offered the part that same day. How wonderful to get to go explore another city--especially Washington DC for three weeks! And Edwardian, I'm so glad you live close and can go see it. I would just love to go too but I have a grandson due exactly at that time and have a niece getting married too on Oct. 4. And there's a possibility we could be moving then too as our house is for sale and we have a potential buyer in the wings. But I'm not going to give up considering it just yet! Anyway, this is an exciting short term gig for Laura and it would be awesome if some of you can see it and report back to us. Is it OK to do that on this site? This is a Grease website afterall and I don't want to be the one being inappropriate. And Nate has that part in the New York fringe festival he is rehearsing for right now. Maybe some of you can go see that too! Oh to live closer to New York! Maybe as long as we keep this Laura discussion under this "Laura update" topic that will be appropriate. Don't want to take away any excitement and joy from Ashley and Derek and the whole Grease cast.

Thanks Laura Mom for an update! It sounds like you have a lot going on that you won't be able to make it to DC. If you have never been to DC and can come see Laura, the museums and historical sites are a must. I live 25 min away and I don't make it there nearly as much as I should. I have been to the Kennedy Center once, to see Beauty and the Beast. Which is the exact part I think Laura was born for!

Did anyone come on here and talk about any of the other Dannys and Sandys from the TV show, other than in the "Other Danny and Sandy Thread"? I'm knew to these Boards, that's why I am asking this question.

I personally don't feel that the Max and Laura fans would have been happy if people had done this. I mean after all, these are the "Grease" Messsge Boards and I feel that it would have been disrespectful to Max and Laura if people had done this. We all love Max and Laura, but I personally feel that they have moved on and am sure will have great careers. Updates are wonderful, but I feel they should be kept in the "Other Danny and Sandy Thread," and these rest of the Boards should be dedicated to the current Grease cast. Just my opnion! I hope my opinion is welcome!

I disagree. This is a forum about Grease, not just about the current cast. And Laura is not just any other Sandy, she was the Sandy for one year on Broadway. In my opinion, she has been the best leading lady Grease has ever had.

If anybody deserves their own update thread, it is Laura (& Max). After all, they won the reality TV show, that means more people voted for them than anybody else.

Otherwise, using your logic, are we going to delete the Taylor Hicks section on Sept 8, and ban Soul Patrol?

From what I know, Brigadoon has been postponed, hopefully not cancelled. I think this forum is an appropriate place to post information about Grease, YTOTIW and alumni of both the Broadway and tv shows. Why shouldn't we post what we want here about those involved at one time or another?

Most of the threads tend to go off on tangents anyway. Let's not make this a "must do this or that" forum. Let's keep it friendly as it has been for well over a year.

With all due respect D&B....This place hasn't always been friendly. For instance, Taylor Hicks got his own Forum because of the not-so-friendly times....lol

I hardly think that posting information about a present or former cast member is disrespectful in any shape or form to current, past or future members.

You can all do what you like, I will continue to post information the way I see fit. I mean only to honor the work that these hard working actors have done and will continue to do. I never have nor ever will post a negative comment about any of the cast or crew, current, former and future.

If that suits some and not others, ahh well, such is life.

There were a group of people whose sole purpose was to put down TH and the SP. They came to be disruptive and they are gone.

It has been my experience that yes, this place has been more friendly than most forums of this nature.

I remember some article was post regarding Derek in MAY 2007... and it wasn`t a other Danny and Sandy thread... As for Taylor Hicks ... well fans came too strong I guess for some... me I do not like the song he is singing so I dont care at all about him....
