Seeing the video brought a smile to my face. My grandmother is being moved from the nursing home to the hospital with respiratory problems. Thanks again.
I don't know if I could do live TV. I'm way too sarcastic for my own good.

What would be nice is if they actually updated all the grease footage and commercials airing on TV and even the back seat of NYC taxi cab TV screens to include Ashley and Derek. They showed footage from the show in this vid with Max and Laura. I would love to see the show again with the new cast, hopefully I can wrangle up the cash to do so sometime before the new leads get recast. Derek is more natural in interviews such as this one and you can tell he is genuine. I am glad they are giving him the publicity they are as I think it's well deserved. He earned his way to Broadway after years of hard work and back breaking nationwide tours. Good going and break a leg!

Eris, I'm sorry about your grandmother! I'll keep her in my prayers!
Thanks. All I know is that she's on a respirator now. I stayed with my sister instead of going to the hospital. I went to bed at about 1:30 and didn't get any news before that or since. I don't even know what time my mom got home from the hospital.

My mom called my office at around 11am and asked me to come home because the hospital had called and told her my grandmother was slipping away. When we got to the hospital she was only being kept alive by the machines. We had to wait for my uncle to arrive to make the decision to take her off life support. I've just arrived home but my mom and uncle are still at the hospital. My sister didn't come to the hospital with us and my mom didn't want her to be alone too long. I'm going to take Lauren out for a bite to eat and then, perhaps, take her to the hospital and take some food to my mom.

I'm really sorry Eris. I know this a really tough time for all of you. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. All I can say is be there as much as you can for your mom because this is really hard for her. Make sure you eat and take care of yourself too.
Thanks for all your messages and such. I'm too tired right now to respond to them individually. I feel like I've run a triathlon. I just got home a little bit ago. Lauren didn't want to stay long so we hung around until one of my cousins arrived. That way there was at least someone with my mom and uncle.
I did end up taking Lauren out to dinner and we took sandwiches back to the hospital. My grandmother's completely off life support. The only machines she's hooked up to are the monitors.
It's really a waiting game at this point.

Thanks guys. I've been running around all over today. My grandmother passed at 2:30 this morning. I haven't had the chance to update anyone yet. There's so much to do - we spent two hours at the funeral parlor this morning and after that it was off to buy a suit for the burial. After this quick stop at home we're going to the nursing home to clean out her drawers.
To add to my mother's troubles my older brother says he's "too busy" to come to the viewing on Monday night. He has plans to go to the Bryant Park Film Festival and rather than break his plans he's going to break my mother's heart.
btw...the Philadephia Inquirer wants $960+ to run an obit. Is that highway robbery or what?

BBS, you don't know the half of it. If he doesn't show the family will finally see him for what he is.
I'm the second oldest and the first girl. It was always my job to be a help to my mom. It's a big part of the reason why I still live with her. Because she needs me to help her and my sister.

Eris, I am so sorry about your grandmother. I will keep you and your family in my prayers!
Why does it take some people longer to understand priorities?!?!? If your brother doesn't go, I hope, at least, that he feels guilty the whole evening!
Eris, I think for the most part there is one in every family. We have 4 too - boy, boy, girl, girl. My mom died 4 years ago from a hospital infection. We knew she was going to die and my brother from FL said he couldn't come up to see her before she died or stay for the funeral. My mom to say the least was awesome. So I paid for his plane ticket and that is the only way we got him up to NJ. My mom ended up passing away at our family home before he got there. He had the nerve to say, "She didn't even wait for me." And I said, "No, Damian she gave up waiting for you long before this." He is the most selfish person I have ever met. He's definitely a taker. I'm really sorry to hear about your grandmother. It will be hectic for you and your mom the next few weeks - try to take it all in stride. I'll be thinking of you.
