It is sad though that her high school missed out on casting her in a lead role! And one other comment--you could never hate Ashley! She is too sweet of a person to ever hate!!! Of course I know that she was only joking!
I bet her high school choir director feels stupid now. When she didn't get the lead in Okalahoma she went to the Players Guild of Canton, our local theater and was cast in the role of Annell in "Steel Magnolias", this was her senior year of high school.

Wow! That's very impressive to have a lead role in local theater while still in high school! That's a great play, though very sad! I bet that Ashley was great as Annell!
It was pretty funny, a great bunch of gals in the show and when Annell was pregnant, hilarious, Ashley did a great job with that. There were tears and laughter. Annell goes through a lot of changes in the show.

Annell is a good character! I bet that Ashley did well showing all of the changes that Annell makes in her life!
You can see how if Ashley really wanted to make a career in theater, she couldn't stay in Ohio. Our local theater only has one musical a year and besides it is all volunteer.

Yes, I guess it would be hard for her to make a living as an actress there! But she ended up in exactly the right place! And to think that if she had stayed in Ohio, I may never have become her fan! I'm glad that America was able to get to see her talent on TV and now on Broadway!
