Interesting, Jim Jacobs saw the show last weekend and he had nothing but good things to say about her Sandy. I guess it just depends on who's watching. By the way Greasefan you didn't say anything about Sexy Sandy. What did you think of Ashey's portrayal?
Not that Jim Jacobs could change his mind, but I came across a quote from him. In the finale of GYTOTIW, he mentioned that "Ashley is more of Sandy at the end and Laura is more of Sandy through the rest of the show." I wonder what he thinks now that both woman have played the part on Broadway.

From Arthur's comment, it sounds as if Jim Jacobs is impressed with Ashley throughout the whole show! There was no doubt in my mind that Ashley would do a wonderful job playing both sides of "Sandy!" I'm so glad that the powers at "Grease" decided to let her show what she could do! I'm sure that they are so pleased with how she is doing in the role.
Kristen, I couldn't agree with you more! When he made that comment in the results show, I was floored. I thought the role was made for Ashley and Jim had a different opinion that me. But after seeing the show with Laura and Ashley, I can say they both a did a wonderful job.
Less than two years ago, Ashley was living in Harlem with 4 roommates, sleeping on the couch and barley making enough money waiting tables at Social. You can understand why her family and friends are so excited for her. She has come a long, long way to a lead on Broadway.
I'm so happy that Ashley has experienced so much success in two years! I'm so glad that she persevered and kept pushing forward in her career until she made it to where she is today! I'm sure that the road was not easy, which is why everyone in her life is so proud of her! I'm just so glad that she was able to become a contestant on the "Grease" TV show and that she continues to share her talent on Broadway today. She certainly has brought much joy to my life and to countless others!
