Has anyone other than the SP and myself seen Grease since Jeb Brown left the show? I don't have my playbill in front of me (I'm at work) and his replacement's name has completely slipped my mind. I want to say Paul...something. If anyone has a playbill handy and can fill in the name for me that would be great. I feel bad about forgetting.
Anyway, I just wanted to see what everyone thought of his performance. I thought he was a great performer but casting someone so young just seems like a bad idea to me. He's very talented and is a great singer but that "skeeviness" Vince is supposed to have is missing. His line about being in school last year lacks the punch it had before because this guy looks like he could be in school with the T-Birds. What made it funny is the fact that the audience didn't believe for a moment that Vince was in high school last year. Now the line gets more of a polite chuckle.

I haven't seen the show in years on stage, but from the movie role, I feel it should be someone older as well. He's supposed to be sort of creepy hitting on Marty and stuff.
They took the line out of the current revival but in the original production and the film there's a line about Marty catching Vince trying to slip Tylenol into her drink.

I have the current Vince is Josh Rouah. He did seem young and I thought it was out of character. In the movie, Vince is older and a womanizer. How much older was Jeb Brown?
Jeb hasn't left the show yet. He was on vacation and is back in the show already. Josh was his understudy. He also covers Teen Angel. I just read his bio.

Interesting. We were confused because Josh's name was actually in the playbill as opposed to an understudy slip.

I think it was aspirin.....I don't think Tylenol was around back then was it?
