Ashley and Derek just finished a new ad for Grease to be seen in hotels and on airplanes. They filmed in Central Park, sounds cute. Also people have been complaining that there is no Ashley and Derek merchandise to buy so I think that is about to change too at least with new posters.
I heard that too, it's about time. People from her home town have been disappointed that there was no merchandise with A & D's picture. Just think of the bus load of Derek fans too. It is unfortunate that Grease is missing out on these sales.

What a fantastic idea! What were the two doing in the ad? Were they holding hands like Sandy and Danny? Were they dressed in Sandy and Danny outfits?
I know what you mean by people complaining about no A&D merchandise. Several of my friends who went to see Grease complained to me nothing was available to purchase.

It's about flippin' time! Just think of all the revenue that was lost by not having Ash and Derek merchandise to purchase. I have heard lots of complaints on that one. You think with a show that sells at such a high percentage, they would be more on the ball with that.

Finally! It only makes sense to advertise what you are selling. You learn that in Marketing 101.
Yep...new cast...new pictures. Makes perfect sense to me!
That goes for the website too! People get so confused.
Yes, I remember that on the "Hairspray" website. I think the pictures on there are mostly from the original cast...and that was five or so years ago....
Update please! I'm not saying they have to change it every month. But, once a year would be nice!

I agree! I always wanted to see pictures of Ashley as "Amber" on the "Hairspray" website! I hope that they can get some pictures of her as "Sandy" on the "Grease" site!
You don't suppose Grease over bought Laura and Max memorabilia. Perhaps Greaase should have reduced L&M merchandise say half price several months before they left the show. Surely that way, they would have come out further ahead.

Yes, they should have reduced the prices before. Even now, they have not reduced the prices that much. On the website, a Max/Laura magnet that was $7.95 is now reduced to $7.16. You would think that they would lower the prices way more that that! I just hope that the Ashley/Derek merchandise will be available when I go in September!
I hope that they decide to put the ad on the "Grease on Broadway" website too! That way people who are looking on the computer for information about the show would get to see it too! They should still have it on planes, in hotels, and of course, I'd love to see one on TV too! But if someone who was considering going to see the show was looking for information on the internet, I'm sure that the ad would convince that person to go and see "Grease!" I'd love to see the ad used in as many places as possible!

That's a great idea Kristen, why don't you suggest it to Ryan, he handles PR for Grease, you can email him at Barlowhartmen.com

Thanks! Sure, I can e-mail him!
It's Barlowhartman.com. Pinkfan typed it wrong...
Were you able to get the email off Kristen?
Yes, thank you! Maybe he'll need an assistant! I'd love to help!
Thanks! I made the suggestion about the People article too! As a loyal subscriber for many years, I am still waiting to see Ashley featured in the magazine! I hope that it will happen soon! And I really hope that they put the ad online! I'd love to see it! :)
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we will get to see it online! I received this reply back today--" The advertisement you are referring to was shot by the Broadway Preview Channel. The channel airs in NYC hotels as well as on Jet Blue Airways and features interviews, clips and news about current Broadway shows. The footage is owned by them and specific to BPC and therefore cannot be shown on the Grease website. Look for it next time you're in an NYC hotel."
On the bright side, maybe I'll get to see the ad during my next visit!
That's too bad Kristen...I was looking forward to seeing it too! I never fly Jetblue!
When I told my co-worker the news, she looked at me and asked me if I was going to now have to take a trip on Jet Blue. I'm just hoping they'll have it at my hotel in New York!
Yes, I have seen those. The quality isn't very good, but you can see and hear it. I think I saw one or two of the Grease TV videos done that way.
That reminds me, I bought a DVD of Hairspray the Movie on the street when I was in New York one time. I brought it home and laughed my b___off. The camera was pointed to the movie screen in theatre and you could see people walking in front of the screen.
