New Discount Code

Broadwaybox has posted their new discount code for Grease.  It starts on September 9 and runs until November 2.  It is not valid for the Saturday matinee, Saturday evening show, or the Sunday matinee. 

Tickets start at $71.50.

The fact that it doesn't work on weekends puts a damper on a lot of things though.

My sister's birthday is a Saturday this year and this is what she wants to do. Now I'm not sure if that can happen.

That is why the discounts are during the week as they have lower ticket sales on those days. Ah, well, when I paid, I always paid full price!

I'm taking my sister to the Sunday evening show the night after her birthday. Discount works for Sunday night shows.

Her birthday is October 18 and the plan was to go on her birthday but with the new discount code we have to go on Sunday evening instead. Got row AAA. I thought that was the first row but it's actually the second. Row AX is the first row.

They found another growth in her mouth and she may have to have them operated on.

Sorry to hear that Eris. The surgery isn't bad at all though. I had it done and I was so scared. They just gave me some novacaine and then took out my cyst. The whole procedure was only 10 minutes long and I was able to eat after the novacaine wore off.

I was just at Broadwaybox.com and I noticed that the discount code has been changed. As I originally stated in this post it was due to end on Nov 2 which meant you could not order tickets beyond that date until the new discount was put up. Now the end date is Oct 2. So no discounted tickets can be ordered for any dates after Oct 2. Luckily, I ordered my sister's birthday tickets before the change was made.

I used the discount code and got 3 tickets for row A, mezzanine, center seats. I saw the show twice last year with Max and Laura and paid top $$. We're coming to NYC at the end of the month, and I wasn't sure if I'd take my girls to see Grease since we're seeing 3 other musicals already. But when I saw the discount code, I couldn't resist but grab those tickets! I'm shocked at how good the seats were. Now we're seeing 4 shows in 5 days, and I'm still hoping to sneak off to Legally Blonde if I have the chance (it's a bit too mature for my girls, otherwise I'd take them). Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the new cast and how the show has progressed in a year. I've never been to NYC until seeing Grease YTOIW on TV, and now I'm returning again with the whole family! As you can imagine, I'm quite excited!

Though I'm a die-hard Max fan, I'm really looking forward to seeing Derek and Ashley and how they interpret their roles. I've seen a few video clips of them and it is just so strange to see someone else playing Danny/Sandy, though I'm sure they'll be just as exciting to watch, especially now that I'll have my girls (10 and 8) with me, whom have not yet forgiven me for not taking them last year. I'm also looking forward to seeing some of my other favorites, like Jose, Lindsay, Robyn and Kirsten. I'd have loved to see Taylor as teen angel, but I'm so glad that Stephen is coming back to do the role. I thought he was awesome. And on top of it, I get to see Ace, which I'm sure will be interesting...

Eris, we'll be seeing Wicked, Little Mermaid, and Mary Poppins. Aside from Wicked, all of them are available now on BB for a discount. Of course I bought the tickets months ago at full price. :( At least I got some discount with Grease, which was a nice treat. I can't wait to introduce my family to NYC. It's going to be a blast!

BTW, does anyone know if there's a website where I can get discounts on tours around NYC? Here in CA, you can buy a "city pass" that would take you thru a town to its main attractions and such. I wonder if NYC has something similar?

You can get a 1 day or 7 day subway/bus pass which means you can take them as many times as you like. Really worth it if you are going to be there a while, since each ride would be $2.00.

There are discounts on things around time. Some of them may be available in the lobby of the hotel. Here are some websites:

There are double decker bus tours that have that on again, off again thing going on.

A new offer will probably be put up shortly before the current offer ends. There are almost always discount codes for shows that aren't sold out. They start and end at different times and have different percentages and rules.

These two codes are ones we had used. PLAY4 and SAVE14 - try them out for the $71.50.

I think Friday night is decent as I don't have to wake up the next morning for work. smile.gif

The current discount code expired yesterday and there is no new code. Is the show doing so good that they can't be bothered to offer discounted tickets?

I was really counting on the new code being released.

discount codes sound a little like priceline. btw, I love priceline. hotels offer a 1/2 price discount or more for rooms that aren't already sold.

I got an email the other day from SeasonofSavings.com. There is a link for a special for Grease.
I didn't read all the details, but you might want to check it out. $71.50 for good seats at certain shows. Good through October 24th.biggrin.gif
