If you've had the pleasure of seeing Ace's performance post your recaps here.Fire away, let us know every detail from A-Z We love hearing all about it ! Pictures are most welcome and stage door encounters too !
I didn't get to see Ace perform as Kenickie last weekend, but he was there at the show. I saw him backstage, and my roommate and I were standing next to him. He is very good-looking, even more so up close than when I had seen him on TV. I told him that I had enjoyed watching him on "Idol," and my roommate told him how she liked him on "Bones." He was very nice. I look forward to seeing him perform when I go back to watch Ashley play "Sandy!"
We'll be looking forward to your review Kristen.I'm glad you're going back to see Ashley !
Thanks! I wouldn't miss seeing Ashley as "Sandy!" I'm her #1 fan! I'm not sure yet when I'm going, but I'll definitely share my review when I go! As you may guess, I'm sure that it will all be positive!
I'm one of Ace's 'old' fans, from the Idol days, and I've been so fortunate to see him loads of times and to get to know him a bit. Everyone becomes Ace's friend. I've been telling all of you that you'll see - you'll fall in love with him. He's so magnetic and at the same time very down-to-earth. One of the kindest, most giving people I have ever met in my life!!

I'll let you know about the show next week!
Thank you for those powerful words! I want to meet him. So, I guess that means I have to see Grease for a third time!
I'm with Linny... I have been an Ace Fan since say one... I had never watched AI before, and have not watched it since. I haven't seen Grease yet, but I have my ticket for Oct.!
I have been blessed to meet Ace many times, and I love him like a member of my family. He is sweet, kind, funny and gracious. He is truly as beautiful inside as he is outside, and that's saying something.

I understand exactly how you feel, I feel the same about Taylor.we're not obsessed, just very smart.
I would take it a step further too. Not only are the people we support talented, but they are wonderful people as well! Each one of the people that we are fans of--Ashley, Derek, Taylor, Ace, etc.--is a kind person who truly appreciates the love and support we show.

I second that emotion Kristen, they are all special people !
Thanks for the great pictures Pap Sett, they're great !
I'm also one of the fans from his Idol days and I've also been lucky enough to have been able to see him many times over the last 2 1/2 years. He is truly a great guy!
I was at his opening night performance on Thursday and you could not have a found a happier guy in NYC than Ace. We saw him beforehand and he was super excited! I was basically fine the whole day, then five minutes before the show starts, I got really nervy and I was like..."Get on with it already". Him being one of the first ones on stage definitely eased my nerves. I did feel myself get very flushed during Greased Lightning...HOT HOT HOT. Definitely a highlight! Janine is also a VERY lucky girl, I mean, she gets to make out with Ace eight times a week! Not a bad job. LOL Overall, I thought he did a great job and I am so glad I was there for his opening night. I am seriously so proud of him!
Anna, your huggy Ace pic has inspired me to post one of my own taken during the '06 Idol tour. Ace is so friendly, generous and affectionate it's hard not to love him. And his embrace? Warm, strong, genuine...*thud*
This was taken during the same tour stop in Wilkes Barre. That's his mom on the other side of the car on the far right. He gets his megawatt smile from her.
After the tour was over Ace invited his fans and friends to celebrate his 26th birthday with him in a night club in LA. Fans flew in from all over the country. We got all dressed up in c.ocktail dresses while Ace wore his trademark t-shirt and jeans. Tracy and Linda were there. What a blast we had!
I hope to have some more pics to post after seeing the show next weekend!
I didn't mention this in my other post because it slipped my mind until now but last night at the stage door a woman told Ace it was her young daughter's birthday. Instead of simply saying "Happy Birthday" to her Ace sang it instead. She just stood there in shock as he sang and touched her face.

That was very sweet of him! What a nice thing to do!

That's was so sweet of Ace to do that for her. I'm sure this is one birthday she'll never forget.

What a sweet thing to do ! That is one of the qualities I admire in Ace,he's genuine I The girl will be telling this story for many years to come, what a great memory to have !
:THUD: I've seen him do it many times and I've had him wish friends happy birthday on myspace, too. BUT I've never received the honor. Maybe this year. My birthday is a week before HIS and I will be there singing to him this year! LOL.
Never heard a bad word about Ace anywhere. Just like Taylor he loves his fans - always has a huge smile on his face. Pouts, maybe I need another trip back to NY to see Ace.......
Hi!! I am new here! Im Jacqui...or JJ! Nice to meet ya'll
I've been lucky to meet Ace on several (ok many) occasions. He is one of the kindest, most genuine, PATIENT people I have ever met. I, like many others (linny, djtino, dcpam, etc), have been around since the Idol days.
I was at the show (with DjTIno) the other night. Incredible. I was so proud of him!!! I was able to sense some nerves (if he wasnt nervous-- he wouldnt be human, right!) and a few missteps and stuttering of lines, but other than those very few times, he was great. When the show started and he was standing in the doors, I squeed! I grabbed Tracys leg a few times (left a bruise! sorry, Trace!) and snatched her playbill to fan myself a few times too!
Anywho... a pic of Ace and I... (sorry if its too big... i don't know how to change it!) :)
