The GREASE table was selling the giant marquee window cards of Laura, Max, and Taylor. Taylor's sold to someone who was to ship it to Alabama. Max's was sold by the time I left. Dunno about Laura.

Are you sure it was Taylor's that was being shipped to Alabama?

's what I thought I heard.

The whole thing gets a big crowd. No room to breathe, to walk...it's 1 street's worth of people clumped togheter, combined with a streetfair on 8th ave.

Not that it matters, but there was talk that Taylor's sign would be going into his display section at the Alabama Hall of Fame, so it seems probable that what Mr.E said he heard is correct.

Hey, guys. Who was here from the cast? I heard Derek would be there, so he wasn't doing the matinee. Is that true? Anyone else from the cast??

Derek was at the autograph table; Kirsten Wyatt sold me a script to ON THE TOWN.

Jenny Powers was there also. For those of you just joining us Jenny played Rizzo when the show opened last July. She left over the summer and Janine stepped in to take over the part.

Jenny was at the autograph table and wasn't going to do the photo booth but I offered a bit more money for a picture with both her and her boyfriend Matt Cavenaugh (from the now-closed A Catered Affair)

It was a beautiful day for the flea market. I was lucky enough to sepnd some time chatting with many folks I know: Mario Cantone (with whom I did "Equus" in 1980!), Richard Blake (another Bosotn native), Bet Leavel (whom I got to know during "The Drowsy Chaperone)' and my good friend Derek Keeling, star of "Grease."

If you watched the Giants-Bengals game, you saw Derek sing the National Anthem before the game.

I saw "Grease" Saturday evening, and I have to say it's a better show with Derek and Ashley. Asheley Spencer is fabulous as Sandy. Her dancing is stunning, her singing is beautiful and her acting is very deep. I think she far outshines Laura in the role. The finale (You're the One That I Want) was explosive. After the show, Ashely saw me in the crowd and after she finished signing, she came over so we could chat. She is a sweetheart. We hugged and kissed and she was genuinely happy to see me back on my feet. She is a real doll. Allie was also in the show that night, although hard to recognize under a brown wig. I finally got to meet her. She knew who I was and she also asked how I was feeling (news travels fast in the Broaway community!). She was also very sweet.

More later, friends.

So glad you got to see the show! Thanks for your review of the show. Glad to hear that you enjoyed Derek and Ashley in the show. How was Ace? What did you think of his portrayal of Kinicke?

Hey Marlo T!

I ejoyed Ace's performance. For those who have not seen Ace in the show, they've added a pre-show warm-up for Ace. He gets the audience singing and dancing. It lasts about 15 minutes and is really fun.

Zeus55 - I haven't heard anyone else mention Ace doing this. What did he sing? What did he do? Was he alone? Inquiring minds want to know. smile.gif

Just let it be, BBS. Let them have their hate because it'll come back to them in the end. Please don't bump this thread up unless you have something to say about the Flea Market. Don't feed them. As far as anyone else knows it's not even there.

And the record, that was NOT from the "members" of Daughtry, and it was NOT addressed to me, but gloriaski has added that at the top.

Back on topic, that's really cool that Ace is part of a 15 minute pre-show warm-up. Nothing like having Ace on stage, to get the crowd excited.

Oh go away you idiot. You just posted as Bertha a couple of days ago & you say "they" won't stop? Please just drop off the face of the earth.

Don't you EVER tell me what to do, MIKKI. You're nothing but a troublemaker and a big HYPOCRITE. I have not said one thing about Taylor, yet you and your friends won't stop following me around saying that I spend every minute talking about him, which obviously is a lie! Why don't you take your own advice. People can see your act, whether you think they can or not. You and your troll friends are the one causing trouble here, NOT me. Why don't you wonder back to the Taylor board, which is what you're here for, right??

Mikki, almost every post you've made has been directed towards me, so your purpose for being here is really obvious, You're here to harrass others, because it's what you do best.

And as for your spelling correction, who freakin cares how I spelled it. This is a board about Grease, and everything was going just fine, till you and your friends decided to disrupt it once again.

My friends & I were here before you. Get a life!

You've got 19 posts here, MIKKI, and I've got over 90, and I've spent my time talking about what the boards are here for..Grease and

Ace, who is one of the stars. But you and your friends are here now just to cause trouble, so it doesn't matter who was here first. I have every right to be on this board, and will continue to enjoy it, like everyone else.  I'm going to nicely ask that you please go back to doing whatever you did before you decided it was your job to police this board, and decide who should and shouldn't be here. This is not a Taylor Hicks board, in case you haven't noticed, and you do not own it. Understand?

Let me help you clear this up, Jovi. That post was not from members of Daughtry. It was from Joey Barnes, who is one.....singular....one member of Daughtry who is, apparently, quite fed up with being associated with your hate blog entitled daughtryarehot. Joey is also known as the hot one in the group Daughtry.

It was not addressed to you by name. I guess Joey is too busy having a life to pick out which name you are using to spread your hatred on any given day. It is obviously addressed to the lowlife who writes all the blogs dedicated to spreading lies and hatred about Taylor Hicks. That would be you, Jovi. The whole freakin' internet knows it's you. You are infamous.....NOTORIOUS! Most of the members of this board who have been here since Taylor Hicks joined the GREASE cast know it's you. They have seen enough of your identities to recognize the garbage. Notice that very few of them reply to you. These are intelligent people. They are not falling for you insanity.

So you can rant on about Taylor fans thinking they own the GREASE boards. You're here to support ACE. Whatever. You're a troll. Plain and simple. Your reputation preceeds you. It doesn't matter if your here to spread peace, love, brotherhood.....You're Bon Jovi, the nastiest troll on the internet. Nothing more needs to be said. And that's no one's fault but your own. You built the monster.

So Ms. Jovi.....blast me...ignore me. I don't really care. I've had my say. I do feel better now.

To the regular posters of the GREASE board, and to the ACE fans... I apologize for this intrusion. Sometimes things just really need to be said. I will leave you in peace now.

Let me just say that I'm a fan of Chris Daughtry, and not the drummer, who is known for their controversial rants about everything and everyone. This is not the words of who I'm a fan of. This rant was made after several members of the soul patrol, who have participated in some very nasty bashing of Daughtry for two years, decided to write letters to this member, who they knew they could get a reaction out of, just because it's what he's known for. It was not addressed to me, like what the these posters are claiming. And btw, the HOT one in the band is Chris. Always has been, and always will be.

Now this is the last time that I'm going to address this issue, which does not belong on this board. All I'll say to the Grease fans here, is that they're is two sides to every story, and hopefully the actions of some are speaking volumes about what the real truth is.

And now I hope we can return to more of the reviews, articles and topics about the show, which is what I'm here to enjoy, despite what's being said.

And about this one, just curious, does the money they raised go to charity?

All of the money raised goes to BC/EFA which benefits AIDS patients and research

Have to agree with Zeus! Saw the show last weekend and it was wonderful. Ashley and Derek are wonderful as Danny and Sandy. Spot on performances! Also, the rest of the cast is wonderful and very talented. The finale also had me on the end of my seat!

Well worth the trip to NYC if you haven't been there yet.

Sorry for all the edits. This is my first time posting, and took me awhile to figure it out.
