They're talking about the last time the Phillies went to the World Series in 1993. The night they won their WS spot they were playing the Braves and Greg Maddux was pitching. Well guess who's pitching right now. Yup, Greg Maddux.

Pat grounds one to third but the ball was booted by the third baseman. Chase scores and the throw to home was overthrown. Ryan is at third with Pat at second. 4-0 Phillies

Carlos grounds to short stop but there's ANOTHER error as the ball gets away from the first baseman. Ryan scores and the bases remain loaded.

All three errors were committed by Rafael Furcal. In the first inning Jayson Werth slid into him and hit him in the ankle accidentally. Furcal was limping a bit but stayed in the game. Wonder if that has anything to do with these errors.

Uh oh. I hope Cole isn't getting tired. A lead off hit to Casey Blake and he nearly threw a wild pitch to the second batter.

The top half of the 5th was really long with the Phillies scoring those runs. Sometimes if a pitcher sits too long they can lose their "groove".
