It's not a gory movie, and it's definitely not a "slasher type" horror movie. I would class it more as a thriller, and the plots excellent. I love the way all the characters are tied together in some way.

That's really cute, HM. Did it just get released this weekend?

I can't get into the buckets of blood slasher type horror movies. I love the ones made at Universal Studios in the 1930s.....Dracula...Frankenstein....Bride of Frankenstein. Those film makers used imagination to scare the bejeebers out of the audience. There was very little gore.

This is a beautiful, touching scene from what I believe to be one of the greatest movies ever.

BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN

I prefer the older horror movies also. but the first saw movie had a real twist to it, I actually liked it.

Of course, Hammer Studios in London gave us the 6'5" Dracula, played most seductively by the handsome, elegant Christopher Lee. His best friend, Peter Cushing, played his nemisis, Dr. Van Helsing. I was in love with both of these actors as a kid. I'm still thrilled to see that Mr. Lee remains busy in major motion pictures, well into his 80s. Peter Cushing passed away several years ago.

The greatest horror movie ending of all time....(my own opinion, of course). But it is incredibly cool! Van Helsing runs across the long table, jumps up into the high window, snatching down the curtain, revealing the sunlight.....and the Count shrivels up! From 1958's DRACULA......

I'm not sure you want your grandaughter wanting to be Sharpay though.....LOL!

Kidding of course. One of my favorite songs from hsm2 is her "Fabulous"

The Saw movies aren't for everyone, They're not the kind of movies that you can just sit back and watch. You have to pay close attention. There are alot of twists in these movies. And some people have trouble comprehending the intricate plots that are in them.
I happen to love them. smile

Right now, my daughter is singing "Can I have this dance" from HSM 3.  We saw it this morning and we all loved it.  It is two hours long though!

I agree, Goober. The plots are great, and you've got to really pay attention to them, and be able to follow what's going on. I love how everyone, and everything that happens is connected in some way. They're just so well written.

Glad to see there's another Saw fan on the board ;)

I simply cannot watch anything scary. It stays with me a long time and bothers me.

(Yes, I'm still alive, LOL. I've been involved in politics.)

I don't like those type of movies either. In fact I rarely watch movies because I'm too busy and can't sit still that long - too many other important things to do.wink.gif

I rarely watch movies either because I stay really busy too, so I hardly get the chance to, but the Saw movies were worth making the time to watch.
