Sorry, but there is no "truth" here. There's no "right" or "wrong". There's your opinion and someone's opinion but neither one of them can be held up as the "truth". Do I agree with everything Terri had to say? Of course not. Am I going to label her words as "falsehoods"? Nope. Two people can see the same show and take totally different things away from it.

For example, Terri pointed out that Derek lacked vulnerability as Danny. As many of you may recall Derek's ability to let the audience see inside his "shell" was something I had mentioned when I first saw him as Danny back in July. Max's Danny was goofier and less vulnerable. He seemed to hide behind the humor more. So, right there is something I disagree with Terri. But am I going state that my word is the truth and her's isn't? No. I may believe in my opinions and stand by them but I certainly don't uphold them as the "truth" over someone else's.

I support this entire cast but if I were to fight with everyone who doesn't like them or the show I'm going to spend an awful lot of time fighting. I just remember the fact that there are lots of people who enjoy the show and the whole cast. I really feel the number of people who enjoyed the show outweighs the number of people who didn't. So what if there are people who don't like it? That's the nature of the business

Besides, Ashley wasn't the only person who didn't impress Terri. Where are Janine's defenders? Where are Derek's defenders? Where are Dominic's defenders?

You can be angry at me all you want. I'm not supporting or defending Dana and Terri. Just saying that ya'll are going to give yourself ulcers over this. If Terri had said "Ashley eats babies for breakfast" then sure get mad. That would certainly be not true and is clear attack. But being so upset because someone didn't like her performance is just going to make you sick. Whatever her reasoning behind posting it is it really worth driving the last nail into the message board's coffin over?

Ok, I'm really confused! Is Ashley "Suddenly Sandy," or did she just forward Dana's e-mail for someone to post on the message board? Obviously Ashley is involved with this one way or the other and I'm really disappointed. Ashley must be one insecure woman to be so outraged at getting a mediocre review that she wanted anyone associated with it to be punished.

I'm not too sure that Dana posted it. From what I read, Terri is using Danas' username. I believe that Terri has registered but has not yet been accepted and has Danas' username and password and can post anytime that she would like.........I would say that that should be a no-no. I wouldn't let anyone else use my name. Let alone, use it to post a negative review. I never said that I agreed with Terri and her review, I haven't seen the show with Derek and Ashley so I can't comment on whether or not I agree or disagree. HOWEVER, to take someones private information and publicly announce it out of spite.........THATS WRONG!!!!! Thats what I will disagree with. But, nevertheless.....I agree with Eris AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Jim Jacobs who wrote the play didn't make this character up, she was a real person and he loves Ashleys portrayal of Sandy letting her know that she is right on with her characterization. I guess that pretty much sums it up, Jacobs lived it, wrote it, and he chose Ashley to play it. Not only that but more than one of us went to Catholic school in the 1950's and believe me there were all kinds of poeple there just like any other school, nothing specific except for the fact that we wore uniforms and had religion classes.
And not that it matters but Ashley was raised Catholic as was her whole family.

Yep...that sums it up Pinkfan! Jim Jacobs is the one signing the checks probably. I'm sure Ashley's there because she's good in the role. After all, she was already an experienced Broadway actress when she came into the show.

Worry not however. If this petty bickering doesn't end, the forum will. People have the right to say things that we all don't agree with. You have the right not to read it or to ignore whatever you chose.

People who come into this business know that some people will love them, some will not. It's part of the gig, so to speak. We cannot take offense every time someone says something we don't like. It is not necessarily meant as a personal slight but as a personal opinion of a particular performance.

I am sad this forum is going to end.

So--I didn't read the entire thread, so i will just say this...
1. Whether she is an Ashley fan or not, she has the right to say whatever she wants about her, good or bad. It's a message board, where everyone can have their own opinions.
2. Whoever posted the girls address was very wrong in doing so. Yes, I did infact JUST say that anything can be posted on a messageboard..but being that this is a PUBLIC forum, it wasn't right. I would NEVER want my personal info such as my home address given out for anyone to see online.
3. Just throwing this out there---Ashley doesn't read message boards. We had a whole deal with this--i heard something online about her and asked her about it..and she jokingly yelled at me for it..saying "dont believe anything you read on messageboards, because most of the time, its incorrect info...."
